I disagree in our case. I am sure it is similar for Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Alabama, and Texas. That's how they end up at the top of the all-time winning list like we are.
Coach Walter Booth went 46-8-1 at Nebraska.
Coach Jumbo Steihm went 35-2-3 at Nebraska.
Coach Fred Dawson went 23-7-3 at Nebraska.
Coach Dana Bible went 50-15-7 at Nebraska.
We only have about 40 seasons of our nearly 130 that were a .600 team or worse. (7 wins today is .580)
We have 72 seasons of above .700 winning percentage. Bob and Tom account for 34 of those seasons.
Honestly what Dabo should do/have done as well. Instead of refusing to evolve and embrace the new landscape, go out with some pride and while you were on top at least. Now he is going to whither into obscurity. I don't see Clemson regaining their hold on the conference. Especially now that James Franklin is at VT. I think they are going to be very good in short time.

Outside of the last decade and the 40’s and 50’s Nebraska has won a lot of football games in its history. Clemson historically is more on the level of Minnesota or Wisconsin in all time wins.
we will have a clearer k-state picture after saturday's wazzu game. the cougs gave uw all they wanted in their "apple cup."

bobby bowden was two games over .500 in acc play his last five years at free shoes u. the same for mike gundy at oSu. lou holtz went 19-29 in the sec before leaving usc,e. it's hard for these guys to recognize their model doesn't fit the mold of the day.
