There was a time an place for Lane at South Carolina and its when we hired Muschamp, but maybe these behaviors in the article, are why no one hired him that year.

And yes alot of people would of hated to have him here, even for a little while, for sure, and will post as such, and it was not a common or popular suggestion at the time, but he would of done much better then Mushcamp, then took off in the middle of the night for somewhere else, LOL, but we would of won more football games and lessoned the scope Clemson's rise by getting more of those playes, at least for a little while!

I would not want him here.

I couldn't stand Spurrier....until he came here, then I loved him. He was an arrogant jerk at Florida, but he was not a sleazy scumbag with zero moral compass. Even when he was an arrogant jerk, I had to grudgingly concede to his humor and wit. Kiffin has no such endearing character traits.

This is what I've never understood about Kiffin. For years and years he's been hailed among the best coaches in the game, but he's 51 and has never accomplished anything of note as a head coach. His only conference championship is in C-USA.

I'm sure he's a good coach, and he may very well end up winning a title at LSU, but so far his perceived standing in the game far outweighs his actual accomplishments.

Kirby is 50, is going into his 11th year as a head coach, he has 4 SEC championships and 2 National Championships. Spurrier was 41 when he won his national championship, he was 55 when he won his last of 8 SEC championships. Saban was 44 when he got his first head coach job in college football.

I wouldn't say Kiffin is "young", and he hasn't simply not won a national championship, he hasn't won a P4 conference championship or even a division title. Unless he can get the LSU fans to give him enough money to buy the talent to win a championship, I don't see him winning big.
