Landstown dedicated their new field turf with a high-scoring 59-21 win over First Colonial.

Rivals 4-star Anthony Turner threw two touchdowns and ran in another. Turner had nearly 200 yards passing and 30 yards rushing in three quarters.

Junior linebacker/running back Zhakier Simmons was my player of the game after stripping the ball and recovering a fumble, then returning it for a touchdown. On offense, Simmons had touchdown runs of 26 yards and 5 yards.

The Eagles' special teams also contributed, with sophomore Bryce Edwards returning a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown. Edwards also had a rushing touchdown. Senior Kaeleb Gilchrist (6-0, 160) also returned a kickoff for a touchdown, but it was called back due to a penalty.

The returns were plentiful as Dallas Tyler had a 75-yard kickoff return for First Colonial, which temporarily ended the running clock.
