He can do his hair however he likes....it just would have been nice if he could have put on a bit of muscle and developed even one additional post move in offseason. He looks like the exact same guy from the year before so far.

So Ryan Lemond implied that anyone that criticizes Lance Wares hair is racist on the KY GA post game show. Just wondering how saying a certain style of hair does not suit a certain person is racist. FWIW I thought its was a great look for some players but Ware not so much. I guess I'm just not woke enough.

That’s now what he implied. It’s more of an age thing. Older people don’t like younger peoples hair. Been that was for 100 years.

Has nothing to do with it for me. For example, I think Mintz and Tyty look fine. The problem is Ware is balding and what he’s doing just makes it look worse.

Actually I think Mintz is ok I guess but TyTy’s makes him look too much like Snoop from The Wire. I don’t like being reminded of a girl when I look at our players. Boston was the same way.

Admittedly I don’t care for braids. Think they look bad and only certain ppl can pull them off. Quickley made them look good though.

I’ll be glad when they fad dies out and fades come back.

I like Mintz and TyTy’s hair. Lance, not so much.

Just heard what Ryan said on the postgame show. My god. SMH at saying callers sound like “old racists.” Awful funny considering Matt himself has sat on KSR and joked about Wares hair. And i don’t care if that’s “what every kid is wearing” as Ryan said, it’s a bad look. There’s been no shortage of the same debate over certain white players haircuts over the years as well.

My opinion of him just went down.

Didn't Matt Jones say on the radio show that he HATED when guys wore a "Man Bun"??? Was that "racist"???

I distinctly remember Cal HIMSELF saying if Willie Cauley-Stein was going to wear his hair that WHITE color he dyed it, that he better play like a pro because of the way it looked. Is Cal racist??

I also remember 35 years ago when Eddie Sutton became our coach he wore a curly perm in his hair and some fans didn't like it. There was a joke going around that said "UK fans like their coaches hair the same as their bourbon, STRAIGHT!!!"

This has NOTHING to do with "race" it has EVERYTHING to do with AGE. Ryan is actually the one being short sighted on this one.

So when Ryan use to make fun of Brad Calipari's tattoo was he really being racist to Italian Americans. If ever f'ing thing in this country has to have a race angle then Ryan owes the Calipari's an apology at the least and be cancelled from KSR and his real estate job.

Yes he did. Apparently, you can’t say anything negative about a black persons hair. They’re too sensitive.
Eh - there is no being in this world more sensitive and maladapted to the world than a white person with a savior complex. A pretty large chunk of social justice is just a second life for the "noble savage" racism of 200 years ago - lowered standards for the pure, simple brown people from other homelands who just can't handle the responsibilities of the modern white man. Pretty icky.

That said, I don't think Ryan is in that camp. I think he's just hypersensitive to the issue due to his kids. And I believe him that there are people out there who will say anything on a black kid besides a perfect short cut is unpresentable since they are never around black people.

But as many on here have mentioned, some trends are just terrible, and if we make fun of mullets and most 80s hair, rat tails, skrillex cuts, balding old guys, karen cuts, hockey hair, dreads on white guys, etc, then it's unwarranted to claim that all black fashion should be off limits.
