It was always and forever about the players not UK they could have cared less about Kentucky UK it’s money and facilities were simply a steppingstone for their pro careers. We got used and abused, and unfortunately many were gullible and fail for it. I was one of them until 2015.
This is the culture Cal created when he recruited and coached these guys. Appreciate what Doron and the others did but he won't be the last of "Cal's guys" to say something like this. They weren't sold or educated on the history of our program. Cal convinced them all he (and they) were bigger than the program.
I hate to break it to you, but all of his players will think this.

Calipari is leaving UK Doron. We can argue between the lines but it will go down n history as a voluntary resignation for other employment.
And, blissfully ignorant. To make that comment about a school that has won championships in 5 different decades, with 5 different coaches is next level obliviousness. But, Lamb would know this if Calipari had ever given one f***k about the program & its history & had actually educated & sold his players on it. Instead, they were clueless & made to believe that it’s all about them, which led to one misinformed player wanting Rupp’s name removed from the arena.
