Both teams have not played King of The Hill type competition yet this season with only Reagan playing a team with a winning record ( 3-1 Oak Grove, winning this game 14-12).
Both teams have scored at a high level: Reagan has scored 150 points so far and LN has posted 179.
Defenses are also close in allowing only points: Reagan allowed 31 and LN allowing only 14.

Reagan has had the hardest game so far (Oak Grove 14-12). Does that mean they are more tested? I do not know.

The game is at Reagan and they will no doubt want to defend the home turf.
But my guess is that Lake Norman may carry a little more chip on the shoulder for what could be considered lack of respect.

After all, how many players, as juniors, have signed with SEC giant Tennessee? And Craft is not the only LN player that can show D1 or D2 offers! No news media that I know of talks about LN as a top tier team with outstanding talent.

I say this game will be close and could go either way, BUT I am giving the edge to the LAKERS because I believe Oak Grove showed that Reagan's offense can be slowed down, while no one has come close to slowing LN at all.

This game in my book should be game of the week in conference. Huge game with what I believe will be a huge turnout. I very well may go to this one. Sure why not. I never been to Reagan high for football game. This could well be a fun matchup to see.

From what I've heard, Reagan's stud RB had a bit of a knock in the early going, as has been eased back into the play. This is why they had a bit of a perceived slow start to the season and only beat Oak Grove by 2.

LN 27
Reagan 38

While Both teams really haven't played top talent in theory as Reidsville, Indy and others are down this year, Both LN and Reagan has handled their Business.

this come down to 2 variables - Can Ln stop the RUN and Can Reagan D get pressure. I think this game going to be a chess match where adjustments and all will be needed.

I am going with Reagan for a few reasons; 1. Its at Reagan - Its a good environment and they could get some "home" cookin some would say ; 2. Reagan is usually big/physical at the lines. 3. RUN game is very good and we seen Last yr - LN could not stop Evans and that run offense.

LN has to PROVE they can stop the run. LN has played well on the O line and D line. LN pass game imo will work in this game but If their Defense cant get stops this game could be a Who scores last type situation because I would give the edge to LN offense in this game.

Also Reagan QB in Jaikoda Harrington is expected to have a BIG game but LN knows him well from his time in Statesville so Does that play a role in this game as well?

I know some will say Im picking Reagan bc I dont like LN or this or that which is Not true , Simply I picked reagan in off season to give Ln their only loss and I think Reagan matches up with them very well esp since they had a lot of success last yr and to me Neither team lost a ton so its basically the "same personnel" in theory so if they couldnt stop the run last yr, Will the same thing happen again?

At least these two teams are beginning to get some conversation. Still not even considered on the same level as Hough, Providence Day, a very few others.
But 4-0 and 4-0 is pretty good. Scoring bunches and allowing little is pretty good.

Wish I could be there!

Let me correct something: I just saw where the Charlotte Observer and the Raliegh News have:
Selected this as the game of the week statewide
Has rated Lake Norman as the #4 team and Reagan as the # 9 team in the statewide polling.

Ronni's is a good spot. I've eaten there on a WF gameday and it wasn't crowded. Waldo's Wings, which is closer to Reagan is a good spot too. As far as parking, Reagan has a pretty big parking lot. If you get there early you should be able to park close to stadium. If not you may have to park on opposite side of school or near baseball/softball fields. I could see this being a big crowd on Friday. Depends on how well Lake Norman travels. I know the Reagan people will be there.

Would you give some of your thoughts on this game, please. Thanks.
Reagan has the edge with the run game, which i think could be a decider, as they have gotten quite a bit better rushing the ball this year compared to last (which is crazy to think about), where LN had trouble stopping it. I think it will be close because LN wants some revenge from last year, but with Reagan playing at home, it might not matter. LN has good QB play, and it will be interesting to see what happens against Reagan's solid defensive secondary.

I wish I could have been in two places at the same time, so I could have watched this game as well as the one I did watch.

Not sure who wins this game most out of 10 tries. but Lake Norman did make a statement in their last two minutes of this game.
Reagan certainly showed they belong in the top listings of NC High School teams and not a team anyone will want to be matched up with come the playoffs.

But the Swimmers from the Lake proved they are doggone good at all four strokes. Defense, kicking, running the ball, and oh yes, passing the ball.
But just passing the ball in the first qt, but when the lights are the brightest, pressure is the highest, and the time is limited.

I am not saying Lake Norman is Hough good, Grimsley good, etc, but I am saying that both the Lake Boys and the young men from Reagan will be the center of many conversations come the playoffs.

You can watch the whole game on YouTube. Reagan didn't seem to come out fired up to play. The QB for Lake Norman is really good athlete and can beat you running the ball. I still think Grimsley will represent the West in 7a
