Sad ending to what should have been a potential FF team. And yeah, Mitch should have waited until after the season to decide on permanent HC status. But in todays woke culture, we know why he did not. I was really hoping for a great tournament run. UGH....

I'm not sold on Elzy either, but we shall see if she improves as she gains experience. That being said, keeping an interim coach for a full year would not have been a good idea. An interim coach can't recruit. Unfortunately because of the horrible timing of Mitchell retiring, Mitch was in a bad position. It would be next to impossible to hire a coach away from another school at the beginning of the season and you can't afford to have an interim coach for a full season. It may not work out, but i think he made the correct call. That is especially true if he has confidence in her ability.
