UK ladies have 2-3 starters who cannot dribble in traffic, and Vandy ‘s press in 4th qtr turned the game. Mikayla Blake’s for Vandy hit about 4 threes in 4th qtr to propel them to the win. She’s a great weapon for Vandy. Cats fought hard to tie it but came up just short in the last few seconds.

I turned it off with 8 minutes to go, seen enough of that sh—, knew how it was going to turn out. However they got back closer than I thought was possible when I looked at the score 15 minutes later. Tonie Morgan went out with her 4th foul, that was it for me and Vandy leading by about 8, enough was enough. In fact I would have rather lost by 5 or so than to lose by one. Now, we turned the ball over 20 times tonight, you can’t win doing that, when they pressed we panicked. Strack and Boone give away at least 10 points each with lazy or hurried passes. The game plan for other teams against Kentucky is press the he— out of them they will self destruct. We can NOT take care of the ball and should have won by 10 tonight, yea I’m pissed off!

So disappointing. Just got home from the game. So many careless turnovers. Shoot 56%, out rebound Vandy by 16, and still lose at home.

Brooks needs to start earning his money. The terrible choke job to Kansas St in round 2 last season, and now a total collapse, with a great roster, is not a good look for him.

He needs another ball handler because Asia Boone absolutely cannot be allowed to bring the ball up the court against a press. She’s a great 3-pt shooter but is loose with the ball.

When my daughter was playing I told her the number one thing all girls teams should prioritieze first are ball skills. You just have to be able to get around the floor under duress to play at a high level. Most just stop and pick the ball up when pressure comes at them and become a victim. Ball handling skills are a real advantage.
