The Huskers are the center of the college volleyball universe. Year in & year out anything less than a title game appearance is viewed as underachieving.

We take a couple of decades off in football occasionally so that our other sport's trophy cases can catch up.

I’m not a fan of this “cyclical” anomaly you speak of. It fvcking sucks balls.

Might be the most dominant 20ish game win streak in college volleyball history. But it won’t mean **** if we don’t win it all. And that’s the way it should be. Take note football.
This is their year as the way this VB team is playing kinda reminds me of that 95 Huskers football squad. I think we will dismantle Pitt in the championship match. We're 14-0 all time against them and we swept them in the final 4 last year with a team that was nowhere near as good as this years. Lol

Pitt may be 1st in the polls, but we are ranked 1st in RPI and that's the poll that matters. Pitt has not played near the schedule strength we have. Our OOC schedule was brutal and we play in the the biggest and baddest VB conference there is. It also helps we have the top Blue Blood coach in all of DIV I. Cook inherited that title when Russ Rose retired from Penn St.

The top 3 Blue Bloods in Volleyball and not in any particular order are Stanford, Penn St and DONU.

This is Blue Blood right here and backs everything up I stated.

DONU 1468-268-12 (83.94%)

Stanford All Time W/L Record is 1 433–274–4 (83.87%)

The Nebraska Cornhuskers women's volleyball program has the most wins of any other program in women's volleyball history. The Cornhuskers have won five national championships and are one of the most decorated programs in the sport.

Are those 12 ties? Are there ties in volleyball? Didn’t even know that was a thing.

Did some sleuthing, and it turns out, back in the day, sometimes they would play multiple matches in a day, and only play 2 sets. Hence, the ties. Learn something new every day.

The real question is, what will happen when JC retires?

little experience, no head coaching experience. we can basically hire whomever we want for this role. Should be getting a proven winner.
Larson just happens to be the top ranked professional women's volleyball player in the world and guarantee she could coach without even missing a beat. Her level would translate into coaching. Would be ok with Busboom and then there's Tyler Hildebrand.

Most great athletes who go into coaching have been lousy head coaches. There's a lot that goes into being a major D-I head coach. Larson seems too flaky to be a head coach at this level.

you're guessing here. no reason to guess when you can hire basically anyone you want. Larson isn't even the top assistant on the team right now - she's not even the number two assistant.

I think the new coach will be Jordan Larson and that's why she's on staff currently!
Not this **** again, it will not be Jordan no experience be like Tom appointing erstad to head baseball coach he wasn’t bad but wasn’t that good either. My bet is on Dani especially when her contract has a clause in it that if Nebraska comes calling she can leave

It won't be Larson. Busboom or someone else, but highly skeptical of Jordan. Could be like a Kevin Hambley (Stanford) as well. I think him and JC are somewhat buddies.

I’m hoping their #2 ranking makes them play with a chip on their shoulder. They beat 10 teams in the Top 25, with 2 more weeks to go. Let’s hope they beat the Badgers in Lincoln and PSU in Rapey Vallley!
Maybe number 2, but number 1 in RPI and that is the poll that matters. The RPI poll in Volleyball is the equivalent to the CFP poll in Football. Look at it this way, there isn't team in the B1G on our level regardless if Penn St is ranked 3rd or not.

Last year #1 Nebraska got swept and spanked by #7 Texas

Yup and we swept Pitt with a team that is nowhere as good as this years as well so that **** take you have won't fly as we are FAR and away better this year than last year. We've only lost 7 sets since the loss to SMU and that's against the hardest schedule in the country as we have the top SOS.

Tell that to Karch as he's ranked as the greatest volleyball player of all time, and yes he is ranked numero uno!

Saturday night at The Bob... Senior Night and Wisconsin is the opponent. Can't ask for a bigger match than that! I can't believe Saturday will be Lexi's last regular season appearance at home. She's been nothing short of dazzling since she first played as a freshman.
