I feel like Vic loves games like this. Never in doubt for a second but we did enough things poorly where he can justifiably get mad. We were pretty terrible from the free throw line tonight.

Matharu may end up being the best point guard Vic has ever had. She’s been really impressive in our first two games. Like what I’m seeing from Mingo-Young, too. Rickea will get there, I don’t have any doubts about that. She’s still pressing a bit right now, not unlike what Victoria Vivians was early in her career.

Carter has been good but obviously she hasn’t really been tested yet. Bibby looks good coming off the injury so that’s very encouraging.

We haven't played that many players in a single game in quite a while and there is not a lot of drop-off when we do. I wonder if he is trying to offset the lack of experience by running the entire bench at teams and trying to wear them down.

Whatever, it's going to be another great and fun season. No one is going to beat Oregon but it's gonna be a lot of fun to see how things develop as we start laying the groundwork for another top 4 team.

We will be fun to watch

We will be inconsistent at times. Young teams go through that. But our high end potential is up there. We have a few that could have a huge night any time out on the floor. I wouldn't want to play as at the end of the year. Vic has a ton of lineup combos. That's a good problem to manage.

For the record, Wiggins is going to compete for a lot of time on the floor. She has had some great stretches.

There was a stretch of time with four true freshmen and Promise Taylor on the floor all at once. Vic is really giving these young players a chance at earning their stripes. I hate it that B. Scott left the team, but I guess she saw she was going to lose some minutes to these younger guards.

And Carter is a star in the making. The guards are doing a great job at dumping it down low to her on their drives.
