Look man, they’ve got a lot going on. Companies are leaving every day, its citizens are abandoning that state in droves, they have tons of illegals that need their California healthcare and sex changes, they’ve got retail companies closing every store in the state because they won’t prosecute shoplifters, they’re paying cops $340,000/year, they’ve got more homeless and fentanyl addicts than all of Mexico that needs free needles and narcan, they’ve got insurance companies bailing on the state from government regulations, they’ve got DEI hires attempting to run some of the country's largest infrastructure, they’ve got a governor that thinks he’s a podcaster, they’ve got regulations for their regulations. Get over it, repairing or replacing regular people’s homes is not on the list. This is progressive policy in action. You need to relax.
Love to see another venue where you know almost nothing but fancy yourself an expert. There have been far more than 10 permits issued. Falling for fake news is like mana for you guys.

AI seems to disagree with you.

Grok said less than 10 yesterday when i posted that and now has amended it to less than 20

As of April 28, 2025, the city of Los Angeles had issued 20 rebuilding permits for residential properties affected by the Palisades Fire.
However, there is conflicting information in later reports. A post on X from May 26, 2025, claims that only 11 building permits had been issued for the Palisades rebuild, though this source is less reliable and may not reflect official counts.
For the most accurate and up-to-date information, I recommend checking with the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety or the LA County recovery dashboard, as permit numbers may have changed since the last reported data.

copilot:

The rebuilding process in Pacific Palisades has been slow following the devastating fires earlier this year. According to recent reports, **more than 30 permits** have been issued for post-fire rebuilding in sections of the Palisades that fall within the **Los Angeles city limits**. However, in areas under **Los Angeles County jurisdiction**, only **one permit** has been issued.

If you're looking for more details, **Los Angeles County has launched a dashboard** to track rebuilding progress, including the number of permits issued. Let me know if you need help finding it!

It’s happening: The Hills actor Spencer Pratt has filed a lawsuit against California and the city of Los Angeles

There is evidence showing the Pacific Palisades fire was not a new fire, it was a rekindling of a fire from days early that wasn’t fully out out. Gavin Newsom didn’t follow wildfire procedures to ensure the fire was out, which should make him and city leaders CRIMINALLY liable

“Allegedly the failures of the City of Los Angeles were monumental and were directly responsible for the destruction of thousands of homes and loss of life in the Palisades fire.”

Evil.

TODAY: Grant Cardone was contacted by FEMA and can CONFIRM the Pacific Palisades is a land grab. Democrats are burying the homeowners in “structural upgrade costs”

The crazy part, 3 months ago Adam Carolla predicted this is EXACTLY how Los Angeles would steal the land. He was right

“California is a Land Grab. Just informed by FEMA in California if your home was affected by fires and required to spend more than 50% of previous homes value you will be forced to raise the entire property structure to new “flood water” requirements. I will be forced to raise a perfectly good property 3-4 feet at a cost of $40-50M.

This will make it impossible for anyone to rebuild adding years to completion. Everything the California govt suggested about coastal approvals, fast tracking etc was a lie.” - Grant Cardone

Adam Carolla explains how the Los Angeles, California Coastal Commission is going to require $3-$5 million dollars in ground upgrades to EACH of these Malibu homes lost in the Pacific Palisades fire before rebuilding

In simple terms. They’re going to take this land

“People need to understand is everything here is on septic. Nothing is on a city sewer system. Every dwelling in Malibu has a separate septic system. And these houses in front, many of them were built in the 40s and the 50s and the 60s, and the codes were almost non existent. So they have septic systems that are in place now that are completely unacceptable in 2025, which when they rebuild, not that they'll rebuild in 2025, (more like) 2055 when they rebuild.

And they're going to have to update the septic system, which means Coastal Commission, Ocean Sierra Club, dig it all out. And because of the proximity of the ocean, they're going to have to build seawalls so that erosion won't take their septic system.

So they're going to be several million dollars into stuff that's buried in the ground. A seawall not above the ground, but a seawall that's in the ground so that the storm and the erosion can't get to it. New septic system, I mean, they may be $3-$5 million dollars into it before one piece of 2x4 is even put up in terms of framing the new house.

Do you know how much bureaucracy, red tape and permits worth of nightmare this is going to be? Because regardless of whatever the mayor says, whatever the governor says about expediting this stuff, a septic system is a septic system. The code is the code, the seawall is the seawall. And they're all going to have to happen.”

General Trump chimes in.

NEW: Trump on the Los Angeles/Palisades fires

"They still don't have their city permits. They have all their Federal permits. The mayor said "I think we can have them in 2 years. People wanted to start rebuilding immediately. Two years? Are you kidding me?

Now they're talking about putting low-income housing there. This is one of the most beautiful areas in the country. I built low income housing. They want to replace those homes with low income housing. They haven't even gotten their permits yet.

Those people are angry. They loved their neighborhood. Now they want to leave. They've lost their spirit, they've lost their heart. The mayor of LA is incompetent. Gavin is incompetent. He's got a good line of ********, but he's incompetent.

The fact that these people still don't have their permits is a disgrace."

And here it is. A communist Biden supporter started the fire. WTF???

NEW: Per the federal complaint vs the Palisades Fire arson suspect Jonathan Rinderknecht, he asked Chat GPT “Are you at fault if a fire is lift [sic] because of your cigarettes" shortly after cell phone data placed him at the scene of a fire breaking out in the Palisades in the early morning hours of New Year's Day.

Investigators say he had just dropped off an Uber rider in the Palisades, then surveillance video shows him driving up to and parking at the Skull Rock trailhead.
He then allegedly walked up the trail to an area known as the "Hidden Budha". A short time later, cameras began to detect the start of what would later turn into the Palisades Fire. Feds say Rinderknecht then repeatedly tried to call 911, with his phone data placing him 30 feet away from the fire's ignition.

Feds say he then drove away from the fire as fire engines passed by him as they raced to put it out, then later watched firefighters try to fight the flames, and offered to help them fight it, which they describe as "unusual behavior".

Feds say their investigation ruled out fireworks, power lines, refraction of sunlight on glass, and lightning as the source of ignition. Despite his Chat GPT search regarding cigarettes, Feds say they also ruled out cigarettes as the cause of the fire.

Feds say they are confident the suspect was the only person in the area at the time of the fire's ignition, and no other cell phone's were pinging in the area, and that the suspect admitted to bringing a lighter up on the trail with him.

IMPORTANT:

"The investigative team determined that the cause of the Lachman Fire was incendiary, i.e., an
intentional ignition of a fire in an area or under circumstances where or when there should not be a fire. The cause of the fire was determined to be the introduction of an open flame (likely a lighter) to a combustible material such as vegetation or paper."

BOMBSHELL: Smoking Gun May Reveal Left-Wing Eco-Terrorism Behind Palisades Fire

We have uncovered what appears to be a Facebook page belonging to recently charged Palisades arsonist Jonathan Rinderknecht, exposing him as a radical climate alarmist, pro-vegan extremist, and Democrat activist.

His timeline is filled with left-wing propaganda, including:

- Sep 17, 2020: “Climate Change Will Force a New American Migration” with images of California wildfires

- Sep 4, 2020: Fundraised for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris

- Aug 9, 2020: “Rising Seas Could Menace Millions Beyond Shorelines.”

- July 29, 2020: “The Great Climate Migration Has Begun”

It’s also being reported that Rinderknecht donated to Joe Biden through ActBlue on two separate occasions.

We have now seen left-wing terrorists:

- Assassinate Charlie Kirk
- Attempt to assassinate President Trump twice
- Open fire on ICE agents
- Attack Christian churches and schools
- Assassinate a CEO
- Target independent journalists

And now, attempt to burn down an entire state.

The radical left is escalating and copycats are multiplying.

America is under attack.
This cannot continue. It is time to declare a National Emergency.

Well, this ^^^^ post was certainly edifying. It singlehandedly raised the level of discourse here by a full notch.

I know I shouldn't laugh at the expense of the mentally retarded, but your posts are just too good. Please post more often.

And it's MR. Demonrat to you.

bear, you do have to admit that ,just maybe , the Democrats who were so quick to jump on the "fires, caused by climate change" crowd might have played a wrong card, or at least, might have been 100% political.

It will be interesting to see if they are big enough to admit their "jump to a wrong conclusion" was an error, or if they simply somehow double down on their error.

By the way, this does not intimate that republicans haven't done the same thing in the past.
