I couldnāt pick him out of a 3 man lineup. So Iām not sure how I am siding with him.
I have heard he is quick to block folks. I would think the more exposure he has the better- even with dissenting opinions.

That kind of stuff is what keeps him having access to the program. Sad but he is not a journalist but a mouthpiece at this point when it comes to UK.

All the people making fun of Tucker's job/affiliation with the program would 1. All kill to have his job 2. Are also the same people who hate Jerry Tipton. They do not want a guy that kisses the coaches/programs butt, but also do not want a guy that is perceived as too "negative" about UK.
Both of these statements are true.
So, why can't an assigned reporter just report what the fans ( his customers) want to hear about?
Actual facts concerning the team he is covering rather than his own agenda because of his personal relationship with the coach.
Tipton and Tucker both miss the mark of decent journalism, just on opposite ends of the spectrum.

I think it's really important that you investigate this and find that out, because that matters a lot and will probably lead to fuller, happier days for you.

He tried to start posting on another forum I frequent under the name of MeManBoy just last month . Came in making lots of claims about how great his connections were and how he was a true insider. Was so rude and condescending he was banned after a couple of weeks.
I'm going to side with Kyle on this one. I don't see anything wrong with blocking people who are deliberately rude to you. That's what I do in my non-internet life. And in fact, I've probably put 50 posters on Ignore here on RR.
BTW I think he's a great writer, but I only read his stuff on The Athletic, rarely on twitter. On The Athletic, with one exception, he's stayed in his lane, doesn't lecture me on politics.

Most people I know hated Tipton because he asked the players personal non basketball related questions . Seemingly to try and make them uncomfortable . I donāt ever remember him asking Cal something like ādid you think about going zone when the team got in foul trouble ā? āWhy donāt you run out of bounds plays?ā, āDo you think you had the team take the air out of the ball too soon ?ā Instead he would harass Kelena Azabuike about his fatherās legal problems or ask John Wall what it was like growing up knowing his father was a murderer, or questioning Patrick Patterson about how he could afford the truck he was driving.

That he is, Matty Bangs has became the same way. He said something a few months ago that he knew would rile people up and when confronted with that he went on a blocking rampage.
