The 2017 Rutgers football team just got better. That's what I care about.
I think some of you guys need to take a look at his rushing stats. They're abysmal. Granted, not a ton of attempts, but nonetheless. His passing stats aren't exactly highlight reel either: 13 TD's to 10 INT's? Don't get me wrong - we NEEDED to pick up a 5th year transfer at QB - but let's not get too crazy here either.
As bad as last season was, I really like what Ash has done to bring talent to the program ASAP. It seems like he knows how to recruit in this day and age, just needs some W's to land some more 4* recruits.
Seriously, however, this addition adds a higher degree of confidence to achieving at least another win or two for those were thinking 2 or 3 wins. We'll see.
It's still all about the offensive line.
I'm there. He's got more experience that Rescigno. End of last season, I predicted one win for 2017. Got rid of DM and replaced him with JK, I predicted 2 wins. Now, add a serviceable QB (doesn't have to light up the field), I just might predict 3 wins.
And the one on the other side of the LOS too.
Take care of those and it makes the other stuff a little easier.

I was looking at Chas Dodd and Gary Nova's freshmen game experience. I forget the exact circumstances. I think Savage may have gotten hurt, and that opened the door for Dodd.
But he got a little experience of game 1 in 2010, none in game 2, a little in game 3, then he got into game 4 against Tulane, and I think he started against UConn.
With Nova, he had 17 attempts in Game 1, none in game 2, 3 in game 3, an then he got more involved in later games.
Does this mean Lamar Jackson is not coming here?
Losing one Kyle and gaining another are two of the best things to happen to the program in recent years.

One thing I do know is that over the years Louisville knows a hell of a lot more about QBs than Rutgers has ... and I remember seeing this kid play a bit and thought he was solid. We have options now. Quite a few. This was a great pick up. Ash sure seems to have the transfer thing working in his favor... something we haven't maximized in our past.
