You don't know this. He was on the sec all tourney team as a senior, he was great for us down the stretch .
As a senior down the stretch proves my point and everybody should know he wasn’t going to play significant minutes early in his career.

Have those champions won without home state players?
I’m sure some have, you act as if that’s impossible to do. Give me a 5* over a local every single time and we would be better off almost every time. I have no doubt some of you would like a team exclusively made up of KY born players. A team like that would never compete on an elite level, pretty much kills the have to have locals argument.

No one is saying that, your just talking out your bung hole and you know it .
Last time I checked just here recently that Darius Miller, Willis and Hawkins have contributed to the team.
And just because a guy is a 5 star doesn't mean he's a star or something . We have some guys on the team now that are 5 stars that sit the bench and should be .

Dom and Willis never even led us to a f4 when it was their turn to play in their jr and sr years. In fact when we had an abundance of star players we made the title game and a f4. Stands to reason you need more 5* players and to rely on as few locals as you can.

By all means, 13 5* is the only way. Watch out ucla, here we come.

Tandy isn’t the average joe some of you guys on the board are thinking lol he will be a starter at UK if he goes, I remember seeing him drop 30 on Team CP3 in EYBL a year or 2 ago if I remember correctly. Just because he isn’t a 5 star YET doesn’t mean he isn’t a priority! Kyky is better than quade green in my opinion

No disrespect to Quads because I like him, but I agree.

If we dont take tandy i think we'll regret it, also Hollingsworth is playing very good ball right now and i think tandy is much better and way too underrated.

Hawkins played in the FF a freshmen. Broke his wrist I think his soph year and also had some other injuries like severe sprained ankle as well so it hindered his development between his freshmen and senior seasons .

Obviously Cal thought enough of him to use him as a freshmen when we had the Harrison twins and others on the team who were much more highly ranked.

Exactly, every year except his senior year, just as he was showing he deserved to be on the floor he had an injury.

Hollingsworth had a chance, didn't want to wait, his loss.

I guess you can't comprehend my previous posts when I explained how injuries hamper development.
Freshmen year he is healthy, has a good bit of playing time as an unranked player and even plays in the FF that is full of 5 stars .
Soph year breaks his hand first thing of the season so he's out for a while. As a result he's behind.
Junior year has a couple of bad ankle injuries that hampers him during his jumior year .
Senior year finally healthy and gets into a groove and performs .

You say this is evidence that he was never gonna play because he had injuries?

Marcus Lee never amounted to much here so I guess we should never take any players from California and he was a 5 star player at that .

Mike Williams was garbage so I guess never take anyone from the DC area .
I could go on and on

Ima try some of that fancy math y’all doing. Two final fours without Dom, no final fours with Dom. Yep, adds up don’t it. Can’t never get to a final four with Dom, cold hard facts.

I think your question was much more racist than his statement. You knew that everyone's parents name them when you typed that crap.
So thinking a name is odd is racist? That's the problem with you nuts today. You actually using a race in your comment is much more acceptable I guess. smh btw my dads side of the family is white and I'm equally proud of his race as I am my moms.

LOL! KyKy Tandy is a good instate basketball player, but he isn't Quade Green. It’s fine to have local heroes. But this isn’t happening.

Why would you say that about Hopson? Because he choose UT? Tubby snubbed him and Gillespie didn't pursue him very hard! Otherwise, he would have come to UK.

I'm pretty sure Hopson wanted to go to Tennessee like Victor and Lofton before him seeing that Tennessee had had success with Kentucky players.

That horse is out of the barn. None of this matters now, and we can’t reconstruct what happened with those guys. I know this much. If you want nationally ranked basketball teams in Lexington, that must be done with a foundation of out of state players. I understand the desire some people have for local heroes, but the suggestion that instate players could advance our basketball program is a delusion.

And Vandy has had some success with KY players as well.
Vandy has had some moderate success at times with Kentucky- and Alabama-based players who weren’t elite enough to get recruited by ranked programs. When was the last time Vandy had a Final Four Team?

Having some success has nothing to do with final fours. I just said they had some success with KY players. I'll stick by that. Especially in the 80s-early 90s.

Nik Stauskas was torching Kentucky in that elite eight game, absolutely destroying both the Harrison twins off the dribble. Until Cal put in Hawkins, he held Stauskas, scoreless through alot of the game. It's good to have Kentucky boys, like Hawkins, Willis, Polson, hopefully Tandy on the roster..

Put me in the group that thinks we should offer the top kid KY has to offer every year. We may not have John Wall or Anthony Davis talent but we have guys who have talent and can contribute. We don't win in 2012 without Miller and maybe not in 1996 without Anthony Epps.

Scotty visited for a UK game and waited for Tubby or the staff to get him after the game....He waited until they started sweeping the gym and clearing everything out of Rupp

Billy G showed up to UHA noticeably drunk and I think everyone knew Scotty wasn't going there that night.

I want KY KY in a UK uniform more then ever now. In that short video posted, in some of the highlights dude was out there balling in swimming trunks. Sign that Mothertoucher up.

By the way, we always have open rides going to waste. Offer the kid, he will be a good one. He out there balling in some Hurley swim trunks.
