I'll admit I haven't followed Kentucky high school basketball very close lately. But I was wondering if there are any players having a great tourney that might warrant a look from Cal. Like Dom Hawkins to be a 4 year contributor.

Not seeing anyone who fills that bill like Dom did. There are some decent players but some of the best are either too small, too slow or just way behind where the guys Cal usually recruits are. I might be wrong but, so far, I haven't seen that Hawkins type of kid that I would say, gee, I wish Cal would offer him. I know some of the top ones are just pretty raw and might be developed in time but not sure I still put them in the Hawkins category.

Oh, and the little guy - Zion Harmon - (8th grader) who came to Bowling Green from TN so he could play on a high school varsity team. He's really good but so young and small right now so way too early to rush a judgment on him just yet. He is far ahead of where most kids his age are and one ranking system has him as #1 in the nation for 8th graders. That means very little to me as there is so much time between now and when he will be going to college so who knows what might happen regarding him but he is a player, for sure. Don't know if he will stay at Bowling Green next year or head back to TN. Also, someone at the tournament told me Zion likes Kansas right now so not sure where that will go either. Just have to wait on that one.

why wouldn't he like Kansas? You can go to Kansas bet up women, take a baseball bat to someone else's car, slam into a parked car and leave the scene, and have drugs in your dorm room, and have nothing done about. Kansas sounds like a great place to go. Oh excuse me, i mean drug parafanalia. I guess they had that but there was no drugs. Is that the way it was coach self.
