What I see in this thread... 3 pot stirrers... the OP, who is a Northwestern fan and constantly starts threads like this. Constantly.

Jlb321, who, well, you know...

And Huskerz99 who claims Warner is super bitter then throws a bunch of stuff out their to “support” his stance.

Totally not surprised by this trinity of posters.

He is the biggest troll in the history of the board. Go read his posts, he is not a Husker fan, doesn’t even pretend to be, although he does pretend to be a lot of things.
Ahhh in fact he does pretend to be. It used to be that trolling got you banned permanently. I'm not sure what happened to that board rule.

Practice highlights are interesting... I have buddies who were walk on WR’s and they made some great plays in practice. Never sniffed the field. I’m sure kade has made some great plays in practice against who knows what string DB.

can you tell me which of those teams who have not made a coaching change this year has lost their top offensive player based on yards from scrimmage in back to back years
No I can’t. But then again, I don’t try to cherry pick stats too much.

I put him on ignore long ago. I don't get why everybody doesn't just put him on ignore. The best way to deal with a troll craving attention is to give them no audience.

Clearly warner is bitter. Read his later posts. Or bury your head in the sand and tell me how our 5-7 record at NEBRASKA is acceptable.

But don’t just look at numbers. Look at
Context. JD would have been in the record books and left. Fleming literally started and had promise and left a week later. The face of the program left. The future of the program left.
Yes some guys left because they just weren’t good and needed to find better fits.

Then you have 3 Guys who are in the portal because of some serious issues. Hunt, legrone. And Washington. So people say well Frost needed to do his homework better on certain guys. Well what was he doing at that time? He was coaching ucf and using a private jet when he was being paid handsomely by Nebraska.

What exactly did he say that shows he is clearly bitter?
Kurt commented on some guys post who said he dropped passes. Kurt mentioned something about the guy kept the narrative going when he only dropped one pass all year. Mentioning the pass against Ohio state wasn’t one he should have caught.

I do think this situation alludes to how this staff has issues with who to play and how they grade people. Like Frost before the season mentioned how Luke graded out almost the same as Martinez in fall camp. So you figure Luke is going to be a decent qb. Then we watch him play and it’s like how can he grade the same when it’s not even close? What grading system are you using if Luke graded out the same? We all sit here and say Luke is not a qb when he transferred but frost has proof that he graded out exactly the same as Adrian. It doesn’t make any sense.
My guess is that was just happy talk to keep Luke out of the portal. As we can see they were rightly worried he’d enter if he didn’t get PT. Not sure the “sons of great players approach” is worth the drama (Keyshawn’s kid, Warner’s kid, McCaffereys kid)

Wow Kurt, whining as a grown man is embarrassing on so many levels. Your son must be so proud of you.

Yeah, I don't like the tweet at all. Sour grapes. Kade seemed to be a nice kid and respected by teammates, he was not a quality D1 receiver. My guess is Kade is embarrassed.

I'm embarrassed for Kurt. And if I were Kade, I'd be telling dad to shut his mouth.

A lot of highly respected football people don’t have a lot of good things to say about Frost

like it or not Mike Riley is a highly respected coach in football circles. People understood he wasn’t a good fit and understood Neb had to move on - but Frost’s shots at him in the opening press conferences pissed a lot of long time football people off.

when asked to give an opinion about Neb and Frost they are anything but glowing

you can now add the Warner’s to the Speilmans and mccaffreys along with those in the game who respect Riley who have very little good to say about the program under frost

This is such a made up and false narrative. Who cares if Riley is respected in football circles. Riley has been a perpetual loser his entire career.

Show me any player or coach at the top of his game that is well liked. Most are demanding, tough and not well liked. The difference is they win.

Also, show me any son of a professional athlete that isn’t coddled like Spielman, McCaffrey or Warner. What has Spielman done at TCU? Do you expect McCaffrey to be a great QB at his next stop? Will it be easy for Warner to find a new home and make an impact?

Frost isn’t doing anything wrong. Only thing wrong here are the parents that can’t accept their kid being pushed hard (like Spielman) or being passed on the depth chart (Warner and McCaffrey).

Not a good look for Kurt. But to me it shows there is bitterness from him which some fans don’t see. A player like Kurt doesn’t engage on twitter unless he has bitterness toward Nu in my opinion.

Bitterness towards the only school to give your kid a shot, to put him on scholarship, and to give him playing time? What a world.

Two things! #1 Block Jbl, it makes this place much better. #2 Stop believing everything Frost says. He is not going to tell the world that Luke McCaffrey his 2nd string QB sucks!

I think it lies somewhere in the middle. There is truth to people upset with Frost when he publicly bashed Riley and even Callahan and a little Bo. Like you don’t do that right away and publicly it just put a bullseye on your back. It was pointless to say in the media. Riley is pretty respected which is why he keeps getting jobs and advisory positions. The guy knows football it was just a terrible fit. Plus he got Diaco forced on him. Riley has never said a bad thing about us even after Frost kind went after him in his first seasons with media.
But you can’t coach as long as Riley and not develop connections and relationships with powerful people. So going after him you might be going after 1000s of people who think Riley is a stand up guy.

Not sure what he is bitter about. Kade just isn’t good enough. I will say that he did grow a nice mustache however.

I realize it would be a great story for Kurt to tell people how his son Kade went from walk-on to starter to team captain to NFL superstar but it isn’t in the cards. Kade has a better shot of working at his dad’s old grocery store than making it in the NFL.

Kurt’s story is one of the best in the history of the NFL but Kade will not follow in those footsteps. Let it go Kurt.

Parents are nuts regardless if they played in the nfl or not. But unfortunately the ones with power get more say and credibility.

And the same thing was said about Kurt in the 90s. Give up on your dreams Kurt. Stick to arena football. Go bag groceries Kurt. You aren’t rated high by 247 so you suck kurt. Just not in the cards Kurt.

I understand this also. But if there is ever a “nice guys finish last” kind of business, it’s college football. It seems like the Warner and McCaffrey family are having a hard time accepting that their boys just aren’t good enough. That’s what I see.

Well sorry he feels that way, but closed door narratives don't matter and GameDay performance does. We don't give the coaches a pass for the practice kool-aid when the team keeps losing, and players like Kade can't be said that they aren't getting a fair shake when they get real GameDay opportunities and blow them. Whatever animosity Kurt has, he's being a whiny ***** by taking it to twitter

I understand but Kurt was a “once in a lifetime” type deal. Unless slow white guys that can’t catch become popular for NFL receivers, Kade has hit the end of the road. I actually think he will have a hard time finding a new home.

Probably true. But so many guys who were out of the nfl and become pro bowlers. Or guys who get in the right culture and flourish. The transfer portal just makes coaches have to work harder in my opinion. Coaches who can discipline but still keep respect from players will be the ones who flourish in this day and age. Those who criticize others in the media and don’t acknowledge their own problems will fail

Kurt, if you're reading this, Falck and Martin are better than your kid. He's a worker and a team player, but he lacks the athleticism and talent at this level.

Spiellman and Morgan played at Nebraska for Frost in 2018 and were 2nd and 3rd team all conference players on a team that finished second in total offense.

For many reasons lack of available scholarship players resulted in guys like Warner getting PT at WR and Oline and the team regressed. You play the number of guys of Warner's caliber in a power five conference and you are going to have problems

Recruiting slowly fixes issues on 0-line and those players hade been passed up by Freshman who were legit Big Ten type players. This was beginning to happen at WR and in 2021 a player like Warner isn't going to play./ Warner should just say thank you for the opportunity on the way out the door but many parents are completely dilusional about there kids prospects. I think anyone that knows any highschool coaches can attest to this.
