Who's had them? Been slightly short of breath for about a week but no big deal. Felt great otherwise. Noticed during my morning workout today that I was EXTREMELY fatigued. Sitting at my desk at work after the workout, lots of bilateral soreness and aching in both knees, hips and shoulders. I sometimes work out hard enough to cause that, but not all at one time since I alternate muscle groups every 4 days. So this makes no sense. Besides, this is more like joint and muscle aching - not simply muscle soreness.

Then around lunch time, slight cough and now some chills. My office isn't that cold. In fact in summer, it's sometimes hard to cool down. Just completed the online screening for UMMC's drive through testing center and I made an appt for 2:15 today.

For those that have had it, what say you? Positive test result coming or nah?

I felt all the same symptoms end of March for a couple of weeks... I had worked a trade show in Nashville week of Spring Break... I didn’t get tested because I never ran a fever....

I can’t speak for everyone, but I’ve died 3 times this week alone and shook it off. No biggie.

I had it back in late March / early April and that is exactly how mine started. Started with aching, chills, then a dry cough with a tight chest, about an hour later I started running a low grade fever. I went from feeling normal doing yard work to not being able to get out of bed in about 3 hours.

Try ingesting a whole bottle of Dale's. The type you get at Sam's. That'll fix anything.

Hope you recover! Tell us more if you don't mind. Regular flu would suck balls, so even if it's a "little flu," I want no part of it.

Did the UMMC online registration and appt at the drive through testing. Appt was 2:10pm at Woodrow Wilson Farmers market. Got there at 1:50 and there were Two lines of cars around the market and into West st. I waited one hour. As all those who have been tested know, the test sucked. Just really annoyingly uncomfortable. When she was done, my nose was running like a faucet due to the dept of that swab. Home now - low grade fever 100.4, aches from my knees, through my hips to my back and shoulders. Tight chest with a mild cough. That's about it so far. No headaches. Heated up some left over buffalo wings when i got home just test my taste. All good there. I don't feel any worse or any better after a couple Tylenol. I'll post back.

You do a body part split? Who trains that ways? It's not 1985 anymore?****

No its not, but I hear the mullet is making a comeback. Mine was amazing back in 1983. Thinking about doing it again. After all, it's 2020 and there's some strange stuff going down.

this makes me question the validity of the CVS drive through testing. You swab your own nose, and they do not tell you to jam it up to your eyeballs, no one is going to do that to themselves.

Winner Winner Chicken dinner sounds like you got the Rona. Welcome to the club, we are going to get matching tattoos next weekend.

I had every symptom on the list at one point or another. Lay off the Tylenol your body is increasing it's temp in an effort to kill the virus. Let your regular Doctor know what is going on and keep a line of communication going. If you make a turn for the worse and need to go to the hospital they can direct you where to go and let the hospital know you're on the way.

Wish you the best.

Got exposed at work and tested positive about a month ago.

Fever started on a Friday afternoon and I got tested that night.
Woke up on Saturday and felt like I had strep throat, still had a fever around 100.0.
Sunday had same symptoms as previous two days, and onset of congestion. Monday I woke up and felt perfectly fine.

Girl I work with had mild flu like symptoms for almost two weeks with it. Another coworker was in hospital for 12 days. Such a weird virus.

One thing certain, is the experiences are greatly varied. Hopefully TNT can give us a play by play and won’t get super ill.

Here are a few different experiences from people I know..

Co-workers daughter (16yo I think) went to beach with 2 friends, all 3 got it. Friends daughter was sickest but not too bad, just now getting taste and smell back after 3-4 weeks. None of the other 3 in my coworkers household tested positive.

Wife’s cousin a physician in MS, caught it, and I think most of his staff did too. Mid 40s, pretty good shape.. Didn’t get many details, but he did end up in the hospital for 4-5 days and is recovered.

20 something girl that works for one of my people. Roommate got sick, Girl got tested, positive. A day or 2 not feeling great, then asymptomatic. Dr. Said she could go back to work...if she didn’t have symptoms, which kind of shocks me..she’s in hospitals.

Another guy I work with..mom and brother both ended up in hospital. Guy thinks he had it, just weird muscle soreness. He’s a former pro athlete and still in good shape.

Then there is this guy...

Whatever happened to the quick test that just swabbed the lower part of your nose instead of digging deep to the tonsils? It's supposedly not uncomfortable at all. Is it just saved for sports stars and politicians?

Someone mentioned the rapid test. I actually observed that test last week when I took a parent to the Doctor. Very noninvasive. The swab only goes in the very tip of the nose. Test results back in one hour. I think my parent got it because they were getting ready to undergo a procedure. But I’m sure the testing centers are going to use up the old tests first before they go to the rapid test which are brand new My parents doctor said they had just started it Friday morning for the first time so it’s definitely new. New update - don’t be fooled into thinking you can fart.

I was in the same boat as you in late April. Wife is RN and had bad headaches for several days. She popped fever one day and hospital tested her - positive. One week later exactly I had the fever, chills, body aches as you described and General lethargy. I tested two days later and got positive result the next day. Neither of us had shortness of breath but I had head congestion that hung around for a week or so before I did a telehealth visit and was prescribed antibiotics and mucinex. I'd say overall I felt like mild flu for 3 days and then I was good except for head congestion. I'm 38 and no underlying conditions. Worst part was the state health department sending a 14 day do not leave the house (unless seeking medical attention) order and then calling or auto text everyday to make sure you understood. Fortunately, I live on family property in the boonies and was able to go for walks and do work around the place after the first few days of feeling kind of cruddy...without ever coming into contact with anyone else.

Our clinic just got the rapid tests. Swab is about the same as a flu swab. Takes 20 minutes to run test. Can run more than one test at a time if u have more than one machine. I’ve tested 7 people so far this week; 6 were positive. None were really that sick, but they were all early in their course, and 5 of them were college age. Two of them had the no taste or smell issue.

Update - biggest issue is aches in my extremeties. It's strange because most of the night, my arms (both arms) ached like crazy - elbows, wrist and every finger joint. Tylenol gave me some fever relief but it didn't do much for my achy joints. Still running a low grade fever this morning. Cough seems to be gone. And I need a snow cone to wipe my *** now. Kind of a long night, but I'll say I don't feel miserable. As so many people have said, it feels like a mild case of flu. Comparing to a bad case of flu (a '10'), I'm probably a 4-5. And surprisingly I've yet to lose my appetite. That seems very strange

Weird you mentioned aching elbows. Mid April my right elbow, joints and muscles around it, started aching. The next week my left started aching same areas. Still aching 3 months later.

I have a cough and headache year round so I can’t go by that. The aching muscles and joints caught my eye. Especially since they’re not getting better.

This is one of those instances a bidet comes in super handy. Order one and don't look back.

How is it making you feel?

Fortunately, I haven't had respiratory issues that I can tell. But every other symptom that comes with the flu I've got 10x.

Just the incredible level of fatigue alone has been shocking (i realize that's not that big of a deal health wise, it's just what is on me at this moment).

I don't have underlying health issues and am in reasonable shape.

Yep. That is how mine went. Woke up, felt alright until about 10 am. Started noticing I felt off for some reason. Around noon I noticed I felt cold like I was running a fever. 103 on my thermometer, went to go get checked. When I got back home, i basically slept until Saturday. Fever stayed with me the entire time.

Edited to add, I lost ny taste that Tuesday. Didn't get it back for a week and a half.

I was tested this week due to contact at work with someone who tested positive. Did the rapid test yesterday. Was called within 30 minutes to notify me that I was negative.

Only thing about the rapid test was that it stings the nostrils (like Sex Panther) for about 2 seconds when they do the swab.

Sore throat hit me last Friday at bedtime pretty suddenly. Woke up Saturday body aching all over and just felt disoriented like hungover. Stayed that way through Monday with low energy and dull headache, trying to tell myself it was allergies. Slightly better the last 3 days but on Tuesday friend we were around on the fourth said his family tested positive so I had my test yesterday. Weird but I was expected to be jammed I. The nostrils and they just swabbed my throat like a strep test!

i haven’t run a fever, had just a little tightness in chest and cough yesterday mainly and occasional chills Doc said to assume I have it because tests are taking 7-8 days to get back so I’m on Hydroxychloroquine and ZPak and taking zinc and C.

Im sure I’ve got it for the fact that it’s been a week and my head still feels like it’s swimming I have low energy and oh yeah, I have this coating and metallic like taste on my tongue.

to be honest I’m hoping I’m positive because it’s not too bad at the moment.

Negative test result. I’m kind of shocked. I tested within 3 hours of symptoms appearing. Four days later, I’m better today. Fever and chills all gone. Boudreaux’s Butt Paste saved my ***. Literally.
