Until it's clear he's bought and paid for, keep pursuing.

Definitely!

I watched the highlights someone posted of a recent game with him and the opposing team had Omoruyi... what was interesting is it looks like his high school team lets him bring the ball up the court a lot and be the primary initiator. Makes sense....but... If he re-classes to 2020 - wondering if that will be the main drawback to coming here? Possibly Askew, Cunningham, and Clarke who also can play that role... ?

Just for the sake of conversation:

Would this group have a real shot at running the table?

G - Cunningham
G - Boston
G - Clarke
F - Kuminga
F - Brown
----------------
F - Whitney (or Juzang)
F/G - Allen
G - Askew
F - Fletcher
F/C - Jackson
F/C - Ware
F/C - Jordan

Wow, that lineup! Definitely deserving of the daffy duck gif.

I can't see 40-0 with a team that young. If we had the Duke whistle, then yes. Seems like a letdown game will happen and/or a total ref screw job game will happen...

Would love to see it and be proven wrong though!

I doubt it. And i dont think the NCAA/ESPN wants it.

For 40‐0 to happen. I think you need not only all the pieces, but also an unstoppable type scorer and playmaker. I think an unselfish-RJ barrett.. a Carmelo.. a Curry.. a KD.. I would even say a college Jimmer. Guys who can get their shot to the point that teams have to throw multille bodies at them.. and when that happens the other pieces can take over.

If he wants to be the facilitator then he will go to a no name school. Cal wouldn't be actively recruiting him so hard if the kid was making demands. He has shown he won't do that

You're ******* right they would! The only thing that makes me think it wouldn't be feasible would be the experience factor. All freshmen and three sophomores. Damn, that's a YOUNG team, especially when you're talking about a 40-0, undefeated season.

I'd not give up on idea of UK/Kuminga. If we're being honest, he's the best prospect in the country and was last yr, this year and would be next year too. He's someone you don't write off unless he tells you to quit recruiting him.
Even better than Emoni Bates?! If so, that's just ridiculous! I think Bates might just be the best player I've ever seen at his age. Dude's game is incredible!

Kuminga is the best player I’ve seen coming out since Wiggins. Wings that are 6 foot 7 ish and can handle and score with ease from all three levels are the game changers.

I don’t think that would hurt our chances at all! In fact, I think it only helps having someone who can rebound and go. It’s what Cal loves and hollers all game! Lol. Go, go,go!! It’s amazing seeing Bam this year with the Heat! He’s getting soo good at that and it started here. That’s a great question though and If in fact he does come here with Cade, Wow!! That would be the best team that’s ever been together at the same time on a college court.

Saul my friend, That’s the greatest team ever assembled if it happens. The best defensive team ever- YES! The best Offensive team ever-YES! Lol. I mean the whole dang team is loaded with future starters in the NBA, plus a few NBA Allstars. It’s crazy what Cal has been doing for the last ten years, but something has happened to make him even more aggressive as a recruiter and we’re in for something amazing these next ten years.

It’s really hard not to think about winning Five or six Championships in the next ten years. I know that would be almost impossible with all the other great teams, but if anyone could do it, it’s Coach Cal, in my humble opinion of course. I definitely think it’s going to be the best ten years in the history of College Basketball, and when a true Kentucky fan can say that with a straight face, that’s special!!

As to the Run the table question, Man that’s hard to answer. With injuries, teams getting red hot, and all that can happen during a season, it’s very hard to believe, but the team listened here could absolutely have a chance to beat everyone by 25 points. It’s fun to think about and I know Cal wants that title of the only one to win 40. I do think he’ll do it, and it couldn’t happen to a better fan base.

Bates is fantastic. He's also '22. I'm talking '19/'20'/'21 classes. Right now Kuminga would really give Emoni some problems with his physical strength-he's a solid 220+ and just a complete warrior on the court and would really give Emoni some issues with his physicality. Ask Cade Cunningham, Greg Brown, Jalen Johnson, Patrick Baldwin, Jaemyn Brakefield, etc...how much of a problem Kuminga can be, lol

Emoni is the best player coming out of high school no matter what class. He’s the second coming of Ben Simmons.

He's better then Ben Simmons was at same stage. Right now Kuminga's brute strength would give him issues and best thing is Emoni knows this. I coached a player whose father grew up with EJ Bates so I've known about Emoni for some time now. They have a plan and respect how they go about things.

They kept him down at his age group for a reason, but Kuminga is out there killing the elite guys, you can't dismiss that. I mean he dropped 40+ on Cunningham/Brown and absolutely embarrassed Jalen Johnson. Emoni's a special talent and no doubt will live up to the hype, but busting 15 yr old's asses isn't the same as dominating the alphas of '20.

Kuminga will dominate like Zion did but Kuminga is the better player. Also Emoni and Ben are basically the same age during his sophomore summer Ben became the #1 player in high school ball and that class was absolutely insane with talent. Ben was a freak and might have been one of the best players of his generation.

Lol you obviously don’t know talent.
Cmon Man, he is a really good player. He was dominant in high school because he was 6’10 and could handle like a guard.
But he is now 24 years old, been in the league for 3 or 4 years and has hit a total of 1 shot outside of 22 feet in his career.
He is not a transcendent talent.
The more amazing thing is he has had the success he has had with his awful shot and complete inability to shoot or develop a shot to this point.

Calipari was in to see the 6-foot-8 Kuminga on Wednesday at the Patrick School in Hillside (N.J.) Kuminga is ranked No. 1 overall in the Class of 2021 by 247Sports.com.

“Everybody’s still recruiting me,” Kuminga told me recently after putting up 19 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists as the Patrick School beat rival Roselle Catholic, 68-57, in a Fall League game. “I’m just going to wait until I make the right decision, I don’t know when.”
