he didn’t force anything and ended up 3/4. he gives great screening for our guards and was getting major respect as a threat to pop which opened things up. he uses his body well.

That rainbow three that put UK up 13 midway thru the 2nd half was the 2nd biggest shot next to Maxey’s that put UK up 5 with 1 min.
Yea, he was great. He really stepped it up after that foul he committed 70 feet from MSUs basket. Great response. He's a gamer.

Very smart player on the floor. UK was really lucky to get him as we missed on some bigs. Very good rebounder.

Exactly and some on here were shocked when some of us said he needed to start. I knew we would need his toughness out there for big minutes. As of right now he, Ashton, Quickly and Maxey need to all get 30+ minutes a game and be out there at crunch time. Also for those who wondered if we had a go-to guy in crunch time I think Maxey answered that question tonight.
It can’t be understated how much he takes away from the opposing teams defense. The defending teams power forward cannot give him and inch on the perimeter which opens of the lanes for Maxey, Hagans, Quickly. He’s a stud. Exactly what we need for this team.

Hope Cal can get one or two grad transfers like this game every year, these guys are perfect with the freshman talent and they can carry a load while we develop over the year.
Good example of fitting a good smart player in with talent around him. Great fit.
Love the kid and his enthusiasm. He brings it not just on the floor but on the sidelines rallying the players pumping up everyone demanding excellence. Thank you Lord for allowing Sestina to land at UK. He is one of my favorite players on the team.
He can make an impact without even putting up stats...his ability to help with floor spacing is huge for the offense.
I’ve been on the Sestina bandwagon for a while. As you guys said he took what MSU gave him, went 3-4, hit a big 3, lead us in rebounds, and did some things that didn’t show up in the box score.
He is by far one of most important players we have on this team. As a lot of people have said, he gives opportunities for our guards with the spacing he creates. The ability to step out and hit the 3 is only going to propel this team even higher. He doesn't get rattled and doesn't force anything. Very smart player Cal was fortunate to get from a transfer.
He has a non stop motor and a sweet stroke from outside.

LOL this guy will be more of a Josh Harrelson type following IMO.
We need to post him up more inside. I'm tired of watching EJ and Nick miss bunny after bunny. Sestina has a nice soft touch on that baby hook. Post up when we have three guards in or he's guarded by a smaller player, then float out to the perimeter if we have a bigger lineup in for some pick and pop action.
Sestina is a senior with a good feel for the game of basketball. I thought the physical play of MI St’s baseline bothered him a little bit last night, especially in the first half. But he adjusted and had a pretty good game. Solid player, probably better than I expected. We are going to need him.
