yeah...they were up 10-0 in the first 2-3 minutes and i focused on watching uconn sucking hard. turned back...and it was just 10.

ku has really good guards but they dont get much help. should be way way better for all the talent on that team

39-30 at the half
Given how the game started (at one point it was 25-3, then UAB went on a run that made it 27-20) you'd think utter blow out

I don't know......KU should win this one fairly easily, but UAB not going away

Turned it on for only a minute or two.. UAB without one of it's best players and starting point guard.. Kansas feasting on another team with big injuries

this ku squad reminds me of last years uk team. 3 guards that run the show with mediocre and inconsistent big men. the main guards have to go out and get 20 to win games. good enough to beat average teams, but dont have the horses to beat good ones and will be susceptible to some teams certain nights because an off night by a guard.

Am I wrong in thinking that Josh Jackson is wildly overrated? Outside of dunking and getting to the basket against slow high school and college players, I don't see what all the hype is about. His jump shot is totally broken (he must have learned to shoot from Shawn Marion?) and his defense isn't all that elite. I honestly think he won't be one of the best five players on the floor in Lexington on January 28.

i'm unimpressed by a few power dunks and the suspect defense he played against UA friggin' B. it's not a stretch to think that Fox, Monk, Briscoe, and Bam will all outclass Jackson on January 28. Lord knows you guys won't shoot 50 free throws like you did last year. We win that going away if the Zebras had called a legitimate game.

Yes....you are wrong. He is averaging 14 and 5 as a true freshmen after 4 games....his first two games being against top 5 IU and UK. Is he some reincarnation of lebron james...certainly not. His shot needs work but for a guy shooting 56% from the field and 33% from 3, Id say totally broken might be an exaggeration. He is averaging 1.5 steals per game and 1 block----while not being gary payton four games in, he more than holds his on defensively and should get better as the year goes on. What does jackson have to do, in your opinion, toot be wildly overrated? 25 and 10?

I'm so tired of hearing the media say this. Let's see how "tough" they are at Rupp this season. Briscoe is tougher than their two, combined.
It will be an interesting matchup. Frank Mason has a lot to prove b/c he has not played welt all the last two meetings. He is a combined 4-21 from the field, 2-5 from 3. Both meetings Frank seemed to force drive after drive without being able to finish. he only registered 3 turnovers but also only assisted 4 times. Mason's play will be determined by his decision making more than his scoring ability. He is a gritty defender, but he will give up a lot of size against UK. Devonte can hold his own against most-----staying out of foul trouble will be very key. Perimeter defenders will have to help d on foxs drive almost every possession.

Frank worries me more than Devonte, tbh. He's strong, can penetrate and draw fouls. Hoping Briscoe and/or Fox can stay in front of him and frustrate him into the same kind of issues he had int the last two meetings.

When Frank is on, he is a tough stop. Things get a little dicey when the refs loosen up the whistle---Bc mason is one of the best/worst at jumping into the defender and creating contact---which allows him to get his shot off. I personally think it should be a no call if the offensive player initiates body contact btw. If Briscoe or Fox guard Mason, he will def need to test the water early and learn from it. If he can draw some early fouls or get a bucket or two off of driving---then stick with it. But if he gets stuffed or forced into taking some wild shots---he needs to be smart enough to turn into a facilitator instead of a scorer. The first two meetings he didn't really figure that out.

Fran Fraschilla is to Kansas what Dick Vitale is to Duke.

That's funny...'cause ALL KU fans LOATHE Fraschilla....and honestly, he usually prefers OU or Iowa State to KU by a LANDSLIDE!!!!

he will be better in conference play...no one is above 6'7" in that league

WVU w/ 8
KU & TTech w/ 7
ISU w/ 6
UT w/ 5
OU, BU & TCU w/ 4
Only OSU w/ the real lack of ht. w/ only 3 over 6'-7 (and only 1 you even often hear of contributing).
