Think about the year Kansas just had and this might be a way to change the culture. Instead of bringing in young unproven kids who have had a lot of off court problems at Kansas lets try a different approach and bring in some pretty talented kids that still have room to grow and have a clear past at the school they came from. I wouldn't be surprised if Bill wasn't feeling a little heat out of all the bad publicity lately from his players and was told something has to change.

How do you know the culture wasn't started once they got to Kansas? If so then all the transfers are still susceptible to it. Look at what happened when players went to UL and UNC. They started hooking up with prostitutes and getting credit for fake classes. Were they doing that in high school?

My point is I think he is trying something different. Prostitutes aside I think Louisville has done pretty well with the grad transfers and is one of the top teams each year. Pitino cant recruit with the big boys but he can get grad transfers and he is one of the best at developing lower ranked players to compete in his system. Maybe Kansas is going to try something similar and mix in a couple 5 stars

In November we will see which strategy wins. Will Self and the Transfers go 3-0 against Kentucky in the last 3 seasons? Or, will Cal and OAD's find a win?

Which departure is he the improvement over? Mason? Jackson? Lucas?
Bragg.

Solid move. It adds depth, at absolutely zero expense. He won't be looked at for anything more than 5-10 minutes a game. He gets a few buckets and a couple rebounds, and it's a successful transfer.

All the hate is hilarious. Rock Chalk.

You surely don't want to measure success with head to head wins. Unlike you, we aren't building rosters to win conference titles and SEC/Big12 challenges.

You confuse hate with mockery. Mock Chalk.

Also, zero expense? You guys have unlimited scholarships now? Didn't you try to play some dude named Lightfoot this year? Maybe start using some of those limited resources on guys who can play.

Now if you meant to say it's a good move because Self couldn't recruit anyone better because Kentucky and Duke didn't leave any recruiting scraps this year, then that's accurate.

So you're saying Whitman can't play? Lol, whatever you say boss. Ask Duke how he looked against them last season. The fact the UNC was also interested in Whitman should at least tell you he's no scrub. He's a viable option that will be asked of nothing more than 5-10 minutes a game. He's a body with some talent. Also, rumor is Coleby is transferring, so this has little to no effect on Lightfoot. He's progressing just fine, and by his junior year will be a large contributor.

Your last paragraph is equally as hilarious as the "mockery," as you described it.
Troll on, my friend.

Trying to recruit Cam from Pitt to UK instead of signing with 'Zona is GOOD. Recruiting a decent kid from Lexington KY for one season for depth in the front court is BAD. Some of you guys don't make much sense.

With Preston being the only big man in KU’s recruiting class, and his preference for playing more on the wing, they were faced the reality of heading into next season with a fairly inexperienced front court. This Kentucky kid can provide upperclassroom experience in practice and in the locker room (I don't think that can be overlooked), as well as rest for a starter. It's an experiment... will be interesting to see how it plays out. It's fascinating the many novel avenues teams take to keep up with KU.

If he were very good, you'd be expecting more than 5 minutes a game from him.

You said he comes at no expense. It's only no expense if his scholarship couldn't be given to someone better. You need help now, and this was the best you could get. This isn't a lottery ticket move on the 13th man on the roster.

Id wager he plays 15 mins/game for KU. Especially if rumors of Coleby transferring are true. First big off the bench best case scenario. Experience, athletic, good hands, good footwork, good passer, will be good experienced upperclassman. Nice pickup for KU.

BTW... That dunk at the thirty second mark in traffic. Had to watch it a few times. Nasty
