Pretty surprising, unfortunate news. It was always packed whenever I went.
It was a solid hangout spot especially for games. Food was meh but what do you expect?
I'm sure it'll just be replaced by another chain restaurant. But apparently Lexington is a "top 10 food city" or so I'm told...
Matt said the last few seasons of sports have been slower than usual. Thanks Stoops and Pope.

Its closing bc it wasn't that great, there are way better sports bars in town.

Ksbar was like the guy fieri or margaritaville of local places. It showed the difference in someome opening a bar based on their name vs someone understanding the hospitality industry.

The majority of patrons were out of towners who listened to ksr and came into town. Which means im also guessing they had no regulars.

I went last sept once to change it up, some of the tvs weren't in HD, no sound for the game, and the ribbon board was still giving nba playoffs scores from the previous season

If I had to guess, I’d say they signed an unsustainable lease agreement that increased significantly upon renewal. Couple that with the rising costs of diesel prices and supplier fees, and it’s just not worth the hassle and risk for some.

But don’t fret it, someone else will come in behind them, self believing that their business concept will be the next big profit maker…

I call it the, Brochure Fantasy, where everything is flowers and butterflies, until the actual reality of the situation sets in.

That's what I thought. I also assumed they still have some time left on the lease- which is why they open on game days (but another operator is running it). Once that lease runs out it will probably be vacant.

The Restaurant business is a tough business to begin with. One of every two non-chain restaurants fail and most fail quickly.

The restaurant business in a trash economy with soaring costs of food and fuel has to be extra tough. I am trying to support the local joints in my town when we dine out, but at this point, it makes more financial sense to cook at home daily.

Many consumers can’t afford to go out to sports bars/sit down restaurants right now, and those running the restaurants have to raise menu prices because of their increased costs and the fact restaurants are known for such low profit margins even in the best of times.

This. I don’t care if everything, and I do mean everything, else is pure fire, narcissism is a straight deal breaker. Narcissists are the worst people on earth.

I have a good buddy who just got out of a long relationship with an extreme narcissist. He’s a shell of his former self right now.

This woman tore him down constantly, she never once made a mistake, was always right and everything was about her and only her all the time.

If you talked to her about anything, the conversation would always drift back to her talking about herself. She threw herself lavish birthday parties with themes. He would get a small cake and a card from her if she remembered his birthday.

Why did he stay with her? She was hot.

Lesson for all men: Think with the big head. The little one is an idiot and very superficial.

When they 1st opened, I thought the food was great. Each time I went back, the food quality declined.

Then last summer, 2025, they shut down and revamped their menu. I went back, very excited about they hype on their radio show. Man, I was disappointed. The menu had very few options. I got the Smash Burger and it was probably my least favorite Smash Burger I've ever had. $15, no sides, and I could have walked out the door to Sonics in their parking lot and got a better burger for half the price.

My wife and I left and said they won't last much longer. We never went back.

How are the crowds on Monday, Tuesday Wednesday Thursday on non game nights? How about the daily lunch crowds?
This is what people never understand. I was in Lexington for work and went there on a Wednesday night when no big games were being played and I think there were 4 people in there. The food was good but it’s just not a sustainable model.
