The only complaint I have about KSBar is the drinks are weak. Other than that I’m a fan.

I went last time and thought it was pretty good as well.

I guess my only thing was the wait. It was before big blue madness and with it being like 2/3 I didn’t expect to wait so long.

But other than that not bad at all.

Only thing I don't like -- and it's a BIG dislike -- is that "e" at the end of Grill.

Why!!!!!??

It reeks of pretension and I don't think that's the vibe they're going for with that place at all.

What bothers me is that the establishment it was before (after Saddle Ridge) was great, but they didnt have the staying power for the offseason. Those KSR guys damn near bought a turnkey operation. It was my gameday spot, but KSR has turned it into a total madhouse. Hey, thats a good problem for them to have, no doubt. They were in the process of turning what is going to be Tilted Kit into a live music stage and side bar. Shame to see that opportunity lost.

Ive only gone once. The bartender wouldnt change the TVs to the football game that was on that evening (Mich St-Arizona St...late night Pac 12 time only game on) and Sportscenter just kept playing instead. Said he didnt know how to change it and the bar manager was over at a table drunk. Look I get it, I did the restaurant game for quite a few years. But thats bartender 101 at a sports bar. Is it nitpicky? Sure. But I dont need a place to watch UK games...those are everywhere. I need a place for other nights, and that guys lazy *** handling of a simple request turned me off on the place. Also, the music, while totally not their call, was not to my liking. Not faulting them, its Touchtunes. But different bars have different vibes and attract different crowds. Im a musician so having music I enjoy at a bar is as big of a deciding factor for me as anything. (Hey, Fusion Brewing....you guys NAILED the music last weekend!)

Theyre doing a great job promoting the place so I dont think it will make them lose any sleep.

The topic of KSBar and recruiting was on radio show, recently. Matt stated bar location is technically on campus.

Things will slow down a little bit for them when the other bar beside them opens up. They are known for being the go to location for game days. Not saying it will hurt them bad but it will thin things out a little bit.

Been twice.

1st time was a 10/10. Went on a weekday, and service/food was outstanding. I got the regular burger and fries, girlfriend got boneless wings (sweet thai chili). Got an app of fried pickles. Everything was delicious.

2nd time was the Sunday after the Georgia football game. Took the parents who were in town for the game because we were so impressed the 1st time around. Bit of a disappointment. Boneless wings were still great, as were the mozzarella sticks (or logs I should say), but they were out of several menu items (it was like 1:00 on a NFL Sunday, no excuse for that). I really wanted the chicken and waffles, but nope, they were out of it.

I got the same burger, except it wasn't the same quality as before. Different/cheap buns that were not fresh and even the beef didn't seem as fresh. Totally different than the burger I had only 2 weeks prior.

Waitress said they had just gotten absolutely slammed the day before for the Georgia game, which is expected, but they obviously didn't adequately plan in regards to food stock, and were already out of things at 1:00 the next day with NFL games starting. Obviously had to make a run to a store for some buns just so they could still serve a burger to customers.

Yet, got charged the same prices as the 1st trip.

Anyway, rant aside, they do have tremendous boneless wings and I will never go to Buffalo Wild Wings ever again for wings, as KSbar and Roosters are both superior in taste and quality of the wings.

So you eat boneless wings like your girlfriend?

Will be interesting to see how it does in the offseason. Their doing a good job of finding other ways to bring people in such as trivia night.

Im still a bit salty after my first experience, but when I write places off I always try to go 3 times. Places have off days and I completely understand it. I did restaurant work from.16 yrs old til 25 so I know what its like.

That being said i didnt get to try the food my firat trip. I was so miffed the bartender wouldnt turn Sportscenter to the lone 10pm football game and that the bar manager was too hammered to handle that simple request, I paid for my beer and left.

Everyone seems to rave about the food, so if its legit itd be nice to have a change of pace spot to go during baseball season for Reds games.

But the one thing I can stand is if the patronage they attract blast awful rap and country. Im sure a lot of you enjoy that stuff....Im not about to listen to that mess for hours. Maybe if they let Shannon run the jukebox.

Love how Matt always tries to say the best bet would be to park at ksbar and walk to the games (even claimed it was a good option for gameday at memorial) when anybody with a brain knows that’s an awful idea.

He's not wrong when it comes to FREE parking, which is usually what he's referring to.

I just got done eating there. The wings were good but wasn’t a fan of the KSR Sauce. Gave the wings a beefy flavor. Think I’ll stick with traditional buffalo sauce next time. Overall the food was good. I can see how it would be a great atmosphere on game day. Or a night basketball game. Prices are fair, service was good. I’ll probably go back soon.

No, he is wrong. Thats a horrible idea for walking to Rupp Arena. I'll buy it for football games.

I will never go there on game day. It is nearly impossible to get a beer.
I left thirsty but the shuttle to the football game was very convenient
