Yes Adrian is extremely important.

Yes WVU needs Ahmad to play at the level he did against Kansas consistently.

Yes Carter is the heart and soul of this team.

And yes every player has a certain thing they bring to the table that WVU needs to be successful.

But..

Konate has NBA potential. He is an athletic 5 (center) that can block shots, rebound and create his own shot. With him playing like he did against Kansas this team is a completely different team. Better.

If he figures things out by Tournament time this team can beat anybody and he is exactly what Huggins system needs to be a Championship caliber team.

He reminds me of Kenyon Martin and what Martin did for Huggins at Cincinnati.

I am more excited about his potential than any recruit Huggins has signed at WVU.

His inside presence and rim protection is something we haven't had in a while. Has been big for help defense and making teams think twice about taking it to the goal when he is in there.

If he develops more offense, have to agree. Could be huge for this team.

I love Konate.

That dunk late blew the roof off the Coliseum & sent me clear in the air too.

This is how I envisioned Huggins' teams would be at WVU.

Konate is 6'7.5 and a center

He will a good player and may become a great college player

But he will never have NBA Potential at his position.... too small

He will be really good once he figures out what to do. Think about Jevon, Dax, Tarik, and Teyvon. Those guys couldn't scratch their rears with both hands when they first arrived. Now look at them. I never played past junior high but what Huggs does is complex IMO. The sky is the limit for Sags
