Think I’m leaning Kohler but like you said will gladly take either one.Kohler or Mitchell and I am very happy. Prefer Mitchell slightly but will gladly take either.
If Kohler is ready to commit Pope better accept it and don’t wait on MM.I’d say we are keeping our options open in case Mitchell isn’t eligible
Gotta take the bird in hand, the absolute last thing that we need is to come up empty handedIf Kohler is ready to commit Pope better accept it and don’t wait on MM.
Sam thing with Mitchell. If we got Kohler, I believe we’d have 1 seed, Final Four potential all over us. AND I believe an SEC regular season and tournament title are real possibilities.
It’s why he has Louisville in there. Louisville people saying there’s zero to no chance he goes there.Probably just trying to get more from BYU again. but we’ll see.
Personally, I don’t agree. But you’re welcome to your view. I don’t think Mitchell is a perfect system fit.Sam thing with Mitchell.
I don’t personally know the answer but I’m sure there’s a good one. I feel we can be certain the issue isn’t Pope’s laziness here. It probably has something to do with player preference or some time of recruiting time budgeting— purely a guess.Pope treats recruiting like it’s still Covid.
Why can’t he and staff get on an airplane and actually go meet Kohler in person?
I think that could be classified as almost impossible:Let’s get both Kohler and Mitchel
He went to Israel for a goof. It’s not like he’s agoraphobic.I don’t personally know the answer but I’m sure there’s a good one. I feel we can be certain the issue isn’t Pope’s laziness here. He still may be agoraphobic though. Remember the post about not being too high or too low?He went to Israel for a goof. It’s not like he’s agoraphobic.
Minutes and roles can’t be argued with. As for spots I don’t know the technicalities on rescinding a ride but if it’s at all possible, I can’t see either Zyon Hawthorne or Reece Potter being a hill we’d want to die on. As for money I don’t know where it comes from or is allowed to come from in this weird dystopian future we’re living. But I know for sure if I were a booster who had been ponying up big money only to come up short a decade plus and suddenly someone asked me about giving till it hurts once in exchange for basically a Duke/Golden Age of Calipari roster I’d at least want them to keep talking. And who knows? Just maybe with the chance of playing on a superteam like that roles and minutes becomes a different kind of conversation ¯\_(ツ)_/¯I think that could be classified as almost impossible:
- These players are not cheap and they don’t sign for Monopoly money.
- These players want minutes and roles. That’s an important consideration.
- There’s only 15 roster spots and that means we have only room for one.
I don’t disagree. I’m just saying all of the factors make it extremely unlikely. You’d have a real logjam with Moreno, Mitchell, Momcilovic, Kohler all being obvious starters with only three starting frontcourt spots. No big deal, right? Someone can just come off the bench. I just don’t think players of that caliber are going to be willing to do that without it causing problems. You’d then be pushing Kam, McBride, N’Diaye etc further down the rotation and that’s likely to cause more issues. You only have 200 minutes to give out, and while you want a talented team, you also need a cohesive team.Minutes and roles can’t be argued with. Maybe a Coca Kohler...Let’s get both Kohler and Mitchel
That’s my vibe. OP said it, they might be playing us again. If BYU gets this kid…
