I am not a Knick fan btw. Kind of the opposite. But I have not been as impressed with how the west teams looked compared to ny. Maybe the knicks gave just gotten the easy trip due to who they didnt gave to play. I dont watch much nba. My son does and doesnt agree with me, prob thinks this prediction is nuts.

It is just amazing that the teams who play pro sports in NYC, in MSG, take more than 50 yrs to repeat.

Or quicker...
The Knicks have been impressive in this incredible playoff run, with 11 straight wins and an historic point differential. But Wembanyama is going to be impossible to contain offensively, while he has the reach and ability to greatly limit Karl Anthony Townes. In addition the Knick's other Center, Mitchell Robinson, has a broken pinky. The other Knick big isn't very good.

OKC would have been the better matchup for the Knicks but I still think they win. Six sounds about right.

I'm picking the Knicks. Spurs are tough but it feels too early for them to win it all. It feels like its the Knicks year. Spurs need to jump on them fast and take advantage of the long layoff.

Yes, Knicks have gotten a far easier path than West teams.
I expect the Spurs to win in 6. However, I believe it will be a very tough competitive series.
Very much looking forward to Game 1 on Wednesday.

Good, back and forth game with several late lead changes. It came down to crunch time and both teams went to their stars.

Knicks had a huge scare when Brunson hurt his leg in the 1st Q and when he returned he was not having a strong game. He sat out the start of the 4thQ but when he came back in the lineup with around 7:30 remaining and the score tied, he was a different player. Like he has done time after time in his Knick career, he took over the game in crunch time.

He scored 8 straight unanswered points in 90 seconds but the Spurs answered with a 9-0 run - 8 from Wemby - to go up 1 with 2 minutes remaining. Then Brunson did what he does and fueled an 11-0 closing run to win it by 10.

He has a chance to cement his legacy as one of NY's most clutch stars ever if they win this series and end the 53-year drought.

Knicks are a real team. Hart +22 but only 3 points says it all with all those hustle plays, rebounds, assists. And KAT outplayed Wemby.

Brunson man, whew. That 3 to put them ahead was some shot. So was that contested midrange.
Brunson had a tough game but he comes alive when they need him the most. How about the minutes they got from Robinson too and different guys (Shamet, Anunoby, Alvarado) stepped up to hit some crucial threes when they needed it the most. Robinson was so physical with Wemby. He got beat a few times but defended him very well. Brunson stirs the drink but talk about the sum of its pieces wow.

Knicks were terrific. As in terrifically tough. It wasnt all happening as they planned, they go down and they dont panic. And then, HallDan's man just crushes all the air out of the city of San Antonio while the D steps on the throat. Layup, ridiculously covered 18 footer, 3 from the corner.

And as talented and transformative as Wemby is, a 7'4 guy starting his offensive possession from the 24 ft plus all the time will never make sense to me. I know he is thin and not ready to bang down low, but I would think a supremely mobile 7'4 guy can figure out a go to shot to take, the shot the Spurs needed in maybe the last 7 possessions last night. Old man signing out...

Brunson, being VERY good at what he does,..... is a tough player.
Yup. Not to mention this is the best version of Towns the Knicks or league has seen. And the role players and secondary guys are by and large excelling at what they are there to do. All at the same time. Hart was incredible last night doing all the Hart stuff.

Mark Bryant have anything to do with that as Knicks big man coach, or one of them?

It would surprise me. Spurs are young but so talented.
I am sure they are talented, but from what I watched of them vs okc and last night, I didnt see a team as good as NYK.

I am pretty sure I did not watch the knicks once during the season. I am going only by what I have seen in the playoffs. This knicks team was plays better basketball imo - not close.
