Guess we will have to wait to see who we get from the portal. To be certain however it appears to me that Cal's system of one and done has been superseded by the portal and NIL. His approach now makes UK an NBA training program on a level that IMG Academy is for Colleges. We can not be a consistent winner going forward with Cal at the helm unless he develops a completely different mind set and stops giving the impression to high school recruits that his top goal is to fast track them into the NBA.

Our school and it’s advertising partners have paid $32 million in Calipari salary since that time. That’s just a hair under one million dollars per game minute paid for that single first-round win.

We are perfectly capable of being content with reasonable basketball results. We’ve already proven we can do that just fine by doing it for over a hundred years.

And you know what? As soon as some reasonable basketball results roll around again, we’ll be all over being content with them. We’ll jump on that.

In the meantime you’ll just have to be patient.

But if you can’t be patient because you really are too worried about whether we’ll do our part when called upon again, maybe just take some quality time to get yourself right in the head. See some old friends. Do some work with your hands outside in the sun. Do enough of that and you’ll be right as the rain before you know it.
