KM your biggest threat now is being able to keep them from going to the donkey ranch, you can believe they are working behind the scenes telling those kids they have connections with Dabo and who ever else they can dream up. Keep you own in KM even if you beat my Lions the next couple of years.
Thanks but KM has more than a few guys being heavily recruited. Paysour and Wilson both SEC offers. Both guys were down in Georgia for the Georgia/ND game last night. That exposure argument will not fly at the moment lol.

Time flies but it has to be at least 8yrs ago when the youth football league started. Initially the KM youth were playing youth teams from Rock Hill, Spartanburg, Charlotte, Statesville, and Gastonia. The youth football teams in Rock Hill were absolutely loaded and fed directly into Rock Hill South Pointe. The KM youth teams left this league and joined one with Polk, BC, Rutherford County, and different Gaston County teams. I loved this league and met some of the nicest people from Polk and Rutherford County but unfortunately some of the “moms” on the 11-12yr old teams at that time seemed to be getting in a lot of verbal conflicts with other teams fans which led to a league change. KM had 5 youth teams of over thirty kids each at that time with a waiting list of kids that wanted to play. The first wave of the KM Elite kids to hit KM Middle are Mack and other seniors on the Mountaineers team.
Km should join the Cleveland county youth football league with BS, Springmore , number 3 , shelby , upper Cleveland and union.

Yeah that’s what I was talking about was when KM joined in with us in the MAC league and man ol man they were a true handful on the field. I couldn’t remember the kids names but knew they should be playing varsity football now.

you left out the city park (Shelby lions ) and now the Top prospects from Rutherford county who both joined and have teams in the league ... it’s a very successful league but I know you already know that ;)

Yes that 11-12yr old team from those days are on varsity currently as juniors and sophomores. The 9-10yr old team from that year are freshmen and 8th graders. Both of those teams went to Rocky Top and done really well against some great competition.

That won’t happen! David Martin wouldn’t let any of the youth teams scrimmage them because he was worried about who would get the money lol

From my understanding the Rutherford co team that plays with y’all is a East ( Forest city) I don’t think it’s the raiders (Rutherfordton) play in another league. A lot has changed since we was with the Raiders:)

It’s actually the opposite now. Crest better worry about kids leaving. You have Shelby winning titles and KM on their way. Then you add that KM has the best facilities in the State. It looks sexy to parents. If KM wins it all this year just sit back and watch what happens. Those “connections” doesn’t work anymore. Technology has made it much easier to get out there. I know the parents of two current Crest players that have said to me they wish they would have stayed where they were. One came from Lawndale and one from Shelby. When you have that kind of vibe it’s going in the wrong direction.

Well the Chargers are known for making changes, the right change in this little County make a huge difference. Maddog Burns is a great example that. Crest has done it before and will again my friend.

is that code for some dude will follow a rising star home and offer his family a place and reassure him that he will get a full ride to a Clemson cause they got the inside track to Dabo already!?? IF he comes to play for the other team?

Asking for a friend of a friend that may or may not have heard from a friend that the above could have possibly happened recently but not sure cause I wasn’t there !

A 20 plus year run of domination is just unheard of in any sport esp HS football so congrats but I think 500 ball is the new norm for crust In the coming years.

With that being said, the culture change in society of American parents guiding kids away from football then what we are really witnessing is not so much the demise of the Crest Chargers but the demise of the game entirely. Football itself may not even have another 20 years before it becomes obsolete sadly. Or at least held as the same standard we view hockey or soccer now

Totally agree 91 ......it will interesting to see how the game changes in the future....and my post was in jest. I always like to see the county schools do well ....I mean what if we lived in Rutherford county ....it sure would be boring on Friday nights .

My money is on Catholic ....which ain't saying much much as I'm broke .

I agree only because catholics coaches and players and traditions are used to winning. I think KM mentally will lack confidence. If KM can get over that mental block and not shy away from the lights shinning on them, then the mountaineers win their first title...but that big mental block can really hold some teams back.

They are unstoppable, for we all must bow to all might Mounties. We are not worthy of thee. *bows* Oh great Mounties please spare us of thine wrath.
Cougs these two bye weeks have hurt you. Everyone seems to have forgotten Catholic. Also they may be looking at those 2 losses and not really realizing who those two very close losses were against.

KM I believe the road has been paved.

I agree KM should definitely be the favorites to win their first state title and complete the county...still a lot of football left though, and Catholic is not just gonna lay down now. I think those two will still meet in the 3rd or better and it will be quite a show.
