I am wondering why no one has mentioned Kingsbury’s name in all the furor over who is going to be the next coach at…. He is with the Washington Commanders right now a OC. In his career as a coach he has coached Johnny Manzel, Baker Mayfield, Patrick Mahomes, and Kyler Murray. I haven’t heard his name mentioned once.

I think you answered your own question. He has been lucky to be the coach that had Johnny Manzel, Baker Mayfield, Patrick Mahomes, and Kyler Murray.

I don't know how Kingbury would do but he's far more similar to Kiffin than Derek Mason for heaven’s sake. He was 35-40 as a very young head coach, Kiffin was 40-36 before becoming the OC at Bama. Sometimes young coaches (that impress both colleges and NFL executives) just need time to mature and learn their trade before they come into their own.

He's discussed as a Candidate for the Giants HC job here among others. A simple Google search shows his name come up for other NFL jobs. He's still highly respected and he said he would like to be a HC again.

Kingsbury could probably get quite a few job offers as HC if he threw his hat in the ring. I’m curious to see who hires Bobby Petrino after UPig hires their HC.

Petrino is a 64 year old has-been that has no clue how to run a modern program, manage the portal / NIL, etc. Nobody is going after him.

Take a look at Arkansas offensive stats then get back to me, realize Arkansas invested less nil than any team in the sec. He’s really good at what he does.

What he's good at is ranting and raving. The Arkansas fans love him for that. Actually being serious on this point. They may actually keep him as he gives voice to their rage.

And then they did beat a SWAC school and Arkansas State so that's a source of pride.

Which part, that Arkansas offensive was highly ranked all year, or the fact that Arkansas offense did that with the least nil money in the sec ?
Are you claiming to know exactly how much Arkansas’ NIL is compared to the SEC….AND how much of it they spent on each side of the ball?

If so, let’s hear it.

i see you are ignoring how good Arkansas offense was this year, that’s due to Petrino. I guarantee football people around the country saw what Petrino did with that offense this year.

I’m not ignoring that they were good on offense. That’s great. Petrino might land a nice OC gig for 2-3 years before setting sail into retirement. But absolutely nobody wants him as a head coach.

He will have plenty of offers to run an offense for somebody , he’s good at what he does

Because he's has fantastic offenses everywhere he goes. His Achilles Heel is his defenses. He's not hired good DC's. Give the man a competent DC and he'd most likely be very successful.
What makes you think he would hire one then?
