Something’s not right about that, either on his end or with that projection (I’m thinking the latter). If he’s that good, he could have gone at the end of the first round or early 2nd this year probably. And that would make grad transferring instead of going ahead to the NFL a pretty bad decision. But I think this projection is probably slightly bogus.

It's based on him having a huge year and working on our new QB Whisperer. Leach is awesome with QB's and getting them ready for the NFL.

Yeah....don’t really think that is valid. He already threw up a stat line in 2018 at Stanford that was practically identical to Justin Herbert’s 2019 stat line....against the same competition. I’d argue his draft stock isn’t going to change too much regardless of what it is right now. Everything that NFL scouts need to see is already on film.

As far as Leach’s ability to get QB’s ready for the NFL, his QB at WSU last year threw for the second-most yards of any QB he’s ever had....almost 5,600 yards. And he didn’t get drafted. Leach can dial up some stuff to showcase his guys, but the NFL draft is based on physical measurables above all else, not who has the best stats. His entire history of QB draft picks has basically been 6th / 7th round picks or UDFA’s who stick for a year or two but then flake out....the lone exceptions being Minshew and Tim Couch. That’s not a knock against Leach (quite the opposite actually), it’s just that players have to sink or swim on their physical attributes.
