I’ve picked them all playoffs so I’ll stick with them, going with the Vikings. Said it quite a few times, the Vikings team we’ve seen the last month is the one we expected to see all year. JK will definitely present some problems, and I don’t see the Vikings blowing them out if they do in fact win. Jk ground and pound is going to keep the Vikings high powered offense on the sidelines, so the Vikings will need to score when they get the ball

It’ll probably look a lot like the Tarboro–Kinston game. If I were JK, I wouldn’t want to score too quickly. In the Tarboro game, scoring fast actually hurt Tarboro’s defense because they were right back on the field - and that’s when Kinstons offense started humming.

If this turns into a shootout, I’m taking Kinston. But if JK controls the clock and keeps Kinston’s offense from getting into a rhythm, then I think JK pulls it out.

Good luck to both teams! I will be keeping up with the score.

I’m just going off of the updated scores but it looked like JK started off a little slow against AG and FarmVille Central. They do not want to start off slow against Kinston. If they can do like Tarvikes said, which is eat up a lot of clock, their chances of winning increase greatly

The game I keep looking at is their game from last season at JK. JK won 28-25 but Kinston has added D1 WR 6’5 Brennan Chambers, their running back Genesis Wiggins didn’t play last year and Kinston has 17 returning senoirs that played in that game. Also Tyler Jones improved dramatically from his Jr to Sr year. I’m sure JK has had player that have improved as well.

Has Kinston improved their run defense since they played Tarboro? If not, then JK will put up a lot of yards and points. But Kinstons offense can put up points to. Could be a shootout in the making.

I think it is the same. I’m sure they have improved due to just natural progression and being injury free. I fully expect James Kenan to be successful on the ground much respect to them but to kinston defense they usually make big timely stops and they do force turnovers. I do feel like because of their 14 seed and the way they handled AG, James Kenan is slightly overlooking Kinston.

After thinking about this one for a while I’m taking JK. It’s a little easier to make mistakes thru the air than on the ground. Gonna be close and high scoring tho. And I think JK is more complete team. JK 48-40

JK was able to put 42 points on Southern Nash, but this QB WR connection of Jones and Cooper has been deadly all season. I'm taking Kinston to get to the state championship and beat JK.

I don't think anyone with 2 d1 receivers and in the eastern finals is being overlooked

JK does that in every game they play. A cocky bunch but the past couple of years they been good enough to back it up. Should be a good game. If we won’t still in it I’d be there!

There is nothing but respect from me towards JK. Great program! Man @Otis1144 I wished I was going to that WC vs RHS game. Geez two great games at one time!

Wet field conditions could certainly slow down the high powered aerial attack of the Vikings.
Kinston actually likes playing in those weather conditions I know that seems opposite but Tyler has big hands and Tyreek/Brennan does too. I think it makes it tougher for James Kenan to be electric on the ground.
I’m more concerned about the travel conditions for the fans, from Kinston to Warsaw is a lot of backroads.

Haha, that sounds a little backwards, but if it works for them, great lol! You're right, hopefully they'll move it up, because as of now it just seems like Friday is going to be a miserable day.

JKs closest games this year (and their only loss) were against teams that are/were very run heavy. In games with teams that run a spread style offense, they dominated. Now, that does not guarantee success this week given Kinston's skill people are probably the best JK has seen, but it does account for something.

Playing an up tempo style will play right into JK hands if JK gets stops, and I think they will.

JK has been dominant all season with the only blip against a very good Southern Nash team. Kinston has puzzling losses to 4-7 South Central, 5-7 White Oak, an Ayden Grifton team JK had no trouble with, and two close calls with mediocre Wallace Rose Hill and Greene Central. Yes, they played Tarboro tough but never really stopped the Vikings.

One factor will be the weather IF the game is on Friday night. No passing team likes to play in the rain regardless of what anyone says. JK wants to play football in a phone booth and turn the game into a rock fight. JK will be more physical and that will work better if the field conditions are less than ideal. Kinston will have to match that physicality and that will be a challenge.

JK will not overlook Kinston especially considering the recent history between the two.

X factor for me will be JKs defensive scheme and matching up with the two receivers. I think they will generate enough pass rush to cause Kinston problems. JKs defensive coordinator is one of the best around with a ton of experience and will have them prepared.

Game played Thursday- JK 48 Kinston 24
Game played Friday- JK 41 Kinston 18
