I've only had a couple people get belligerent with my opinions over the years. Most of the time it has been normal disagreements. I also don't try to go after everyone all of the time, which likely have helped lead to my outcome thus far.

If you read my earlier post the joke went over his head (naturally). Also I dont remember our interaction but I’m sure it was great my big blue brother. One thing on the internet I’ve found is people have a really hard time not getting the last word in. But it’s actually much more effective to say a good line and then just stop responding. Imagine two guys arguing with each other in real life, and then one guy says a good line or rebuttal and then walks away confidently or smirking while the other guy all red in the face is shouting back. The guy still shouting looks like an idiot most of the time. That’s why it’s nice to do that on the internet, say your piece and then confidently walk away while the other guy is just rambling on to himself. No need for an emoji or anything.
I get it but Monday wouldn’t walk away confidently in real life or on here either. He did claim to have me blocked tho.

Be kind to a NC starter who LOVES UK. Be critical if you like, but be nice. It does not serve UK for fans to repeatedly look like asses. Rather, it makes us look like we don’t really know anything about basketball except the final score and W/Ls.

Out of curiosity, what do you do for a living? If you’re too embarrassed to say that’s ok.
Every time I see someone call someone a loser etc, I immediately look around the corner to see if you’re coming around with a pen and a pad “what is it you do for a living sir!”

I mean it makes sense, most professionals who have that life don’t go around saying the word loser lol. I mean it’s eh..

Have you ever been to that old restaurant Dicks Last Resort? I don’t know if they are still around anymore, but they start off by putting a paper hat on your head with an insult “this guy has a small peepee!” Or whatever and then the servers are really rude and roast you the whole time. People got a kick out of it and I always enjoyed it even though the food was pretty average. Anyway, as someone that has been on some variation of catspause since 2001 (wow) that’s really how you have to view this place. Like a 24/7 roast. I actually don’t think it’s possible for me to be offended on here even if I tried, because I just don’t take it that seriously. You can’t really, for most it’s just an escape. I saw the UK4Life guy mentioned earlier. He was posting a week ago or so calling other people idiots so I asked him what he does for a living. I don’t actually care what he does for a living, it’s just a pro move MB trick I’ve learned over the years that makes the poster stop and slightly snap back into reality and calms them down, like smoke on a bee. In a shocking twist he actually answered and said he was a nurse. You know what that guy deals with? **** hours, obnoxious patients, ahole doctors, stress etc. Go ahead and call people idiots my man! Dude probably needs the release! Also, because Ive been on these things for so long, I’m extremely good at instantly recognizing trolls and my ignore list is probably 50 posters deep, I will say that is key for my enjoyment and something that’s probably more unique to me.

But, let’s get something straight, Kentucky fans are not abnormal. I live in Columbus, surrounded by insane OSU fans unfortunately. They (some still do) wanted Ryan Day fired a couple years ago because he finished the season ranked #5! And he’s one of them! They are psychotic. But so are Eagles fans, Yankees fans, Cowboys fans, Alabama fans, etc etc. We’re all nuts, let’s not be too hard on the fan base, and let’s get back to everybody hating us instead of us all annoyed and hating each other.
That’s funny. I have been there. And I have been there with people that got offended.

I think most of us would get along over a beer.

we might argue. But get along.

The Pope's Pumpers thread baiting thread didn't bother you one bit. None of the attacks on Pope bother you because you agree with them. Go ahead and ban me. Everybody knows exactly who you are and the fallout will be fun.
What exactly do you mean by “the fallout will be fun?”. Why did my post trigger you I didn’t even mention anyone?

Listen to the Finebaum show the Monday after an Alabama football lose.
Bama has been in the playoffs with their new coach and are still wanting to cut his head off. There’s a standard and he’s not reaching it in their opinion. They want him gone and aren’t friendly about it.

I’m to the point to where comparing coaches and their tenure to any pre NIL time period is pointless. Building a program looks entirely different and the time frame to get things done should be tightened significantly. A team could be the worst team in D1 one year and make a final four the next if the coach and university is able to pull off sone magic and sell their vision. My main worry is Pope can’t do that. I don’t see an aspect that he can sell that other coaches can’t.

Don't take it so serious. I'll never understand those that get honestly and seriously bothered by the behavior of someone on a message board. Consider the source, cultivate the good (there's a lot of it on here) and move on.
Actually, it isn't about taking it too seriously. Coming here after a loss like tonight is like digging through the McDonald's dumpster looking for one of their collectable kid's toys. I have better things to do with my life than digging through a ton of trash.

It’s a rabid fanbase that has had enough. A lot are over the top, but the sentiment is real. The delivery for some is certainly rough, but the message is spot on. They want to see their team do well and they’re tired of the product. Can’t blame them for that.

Thanks for a civil conversation. I just hope, hope, hope that we can win at least 2 or 3 games in the SEC tournament.

For sure! I wish all conversations could be had with civility, but heck, I’m guilty of lacking it sometimes myself. I think that’s one thing we can all agree on (minus the goofballs on here that aren’t actual real UK fans), we hope the Cats win. Three straight Ws would get us in the SECT finals. That would bring some widespread happiness on here. Haven’t been that far since 2019.
