That might be a mistake. I might test the waters myself. No Elijah Moore, Kenny Yeboah, and now a senior lineman Royce Newman says he's going pro. Better ask Jevan Snead how that goes when you lose a stalwart OL and star WR who can stretch the field. Nick Fitzgerald can attest to that too.

He doesn't want the NFL paycut.

Has Moore announced he’s going pro? Did I miss this. I show he is only a junior and this was a free year. Just curious

Surely to god he would. He's averaging 149 yards per game - which is the most in a long time. Maybe back to Michael Crabtree? But he's done it against an all SEC schedule, so he hasn't had a couple of non conference games to pad his stats (although he did have Vandy and SC)

If he was my son I would be advising him to go. What more does he need to prove ? And same thing for Corral. I think he needs another good year to get into round one but I feel like he is a 4th round guy....maybe 3rd ? And with new parts he might regress. I don't really think they have better recievers waiting to take those vacated spots.. Sanders might go to. Besides I'm tired of watching him burn our asses.

Nobody with that type of speed and ability to stretch the field, for sure. Like I said before, Snead found that out the hard way with he lost Mike Wallace. To a lesser extent, you see what happened to our passing game when Ross left (further hamstrung by Donald Gray's injury).

People say a lot of things during the season. He wouldn't be the first to emphatically proclaim that he'll be back and then have a change of heart when the calls start coming in a few weeks.

I maybe would have waited until the season is over to make any definitive statements if I were Kiffin and Corral.

What if he has a couple more monster games and his stock continues to rise? Season isn’t over yet guys.

FWIW I think Corral is a heck of a talent. Not on the same level as Lawrence or Fields, but I could see him being a 2nd or 3rd round pick if he came out this year. Maybe even a late 1st if he finished strong the rest of the way. Is that enough to entice him to declare early? Dunno, seems like maybe not. But he’s really good.

I was very concerned he’d leave, for a lot of these reasons. With his arm talent, I could easily see a team or two falling in love with him and grabbing him in late 2nd or early 3rd. He’s NOT Patrick Mahomes (captain obvious, here) but he can make off-platform throws like Mahomes and has a hose for an arm. It’s absolute malpractice how Luke, Longo and Rich Rod used him.

I do think he could come back and in what should be a weaker QB class next year play himself into a 1st Round pick, but he will Miss Elijah Moore. He’s completing like 87% of his targets to him. That won’t be replicated. But, obviously as an Ole Miss fan, I’m ecstatic. He’s easily the biggest recruit Kiffin could sign in this offseason. There’s no one on our current roster who can replace Moore, though. Braylon Sanders leaving would be a blow, as well.

Snead was also coached by a QB destroyer in Houston Nutt. Corral has a little bit better coaching situation, as far as his development is concerned

Snead still had Shay Hodge and Dexter McCluster but he should've gone instead of returning to play for the QB Killa.

That said, Corral may be saying he is coming back now but if he gets a good report about his prospects he should go. I imagine him telling Kiffin the news on a tarmac somewhere.

Very similar situation in my opinion. Snead had as strong of an arm as I’ve ever seen. With Wallace, he could make good use of it. The others just didn’t have that speed.

And....Bradley Sowell ain’t Mike Oher.

The prospect report might be the difference. Who is coming out, what teams are looking for a QB to develop.

I know its an Ole Miss player but once they make the NFL I usually become a fan and there are several factors for a QB.

NFL Combine and Draft is a few months away. He might be right but he might not. Let some agent get in his ear.

I’m the same way with State players. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching Chris Jones become the monster we all knew he could be. Fletcher Cox is one of my favorite players, and Dak is just an all around good human being.

I hope any kid who signs with State goes 0-48 or 0-60 for his career. But once he goes pro, I hope he thrives and provides for his family and future generations. If you hate either school so much that you hope individual players aren’t successful in life, then you probably need to re-evaluate yourself.
