As noted not an Iowa fan

Iowa didn’t need a miracle they simply had to be patient and just wait for Nebraska to be Nebraska which they promptly did getting a punt blocked - after that blocked punt we still had the lead however our coach stated in the post game that he knew the game was over at that point - that is the loser’s mentality that is being coached - we still are in the lead but the head coach thinks the game is lost because of a negative play

same thing in almost every other Neb game last year - MSU just had to wait for Neb to be Neb. Michigan just had to wait for Neb to be Neb. Illinois-Purdue-Wisc just had to have faith that Neb would be Neb.
Bro, you are proving my point.

Like I said, this is why your favorite team, Iowa, will never be relevant.

What is it like as an Iowa fan, where you know that even your bestest ever season will, at best, result in nothing.

It’s the age old question - is it better to have bowled and lost or never have bowled at all?

Has there ever been a coach at a supposed blue blood program who hasn’t gone to a bowl in his first 4 seasons and the program has been so pathetic that they decide to bring him back for year 5?

your coach embodies your program perfectly

30 years, zero meaningful wins & nobody can ever remember if his name is kurt or kirk

again, not an Iowa fan but I went back and looked

in year 4 Iowa’s coach - Curt or Kirk - I can’t seem to remember - went 11-2, played in the Orange bowl and finished ranked 8th in the nation while our coach in year 4 won a grand total of 3 games and we decided he deserved another year

in summary:

Iowa coach in year 4 loses a total of 2 games

our coach in year 4 wins a total of 3 games

and you iowa fans poke fun at Nebraska fans for looking in the rear view mirror

a non-conference championship 11-win orange bowl participation ribbon probably in the early 90s when kurt(kirk?) got the job from the other guy who coached iowa & all you feckless dipsh*ts were glued to the Huskers

that little walk down memory lane must've been quite a rush for you and the rest of your kind who have had their brains cucked out by Nebraska Football, thus reading every post on this page

over the last 4 years both Nevada and Iowa State have had winning seasons each and every year and have gone to a bowl each of those years

please compare and contrast that to the team Iowa has played the Friday after thanksgiving each of the last 4 years
Why don’t you *uck yourself

I love how the new mantra for Iowa fans is "We went to a bowl game!"

Literally the part of college football that is fading away, bowl games, and Iowa fan is bragging about.

Wait until the playoffs expand and bowl games become even more lame...yet they will still be bragging about it.

I am glad you are having a good chuckle, but I remember, kind sir, how we laughed about the terror we were going to unleash on the big ten after we hired our savior. Oh how we laughed … “Ha, Ha, Ha!” we chortled in rapturous glee. But when we are in year 5 and have yet to have a winning season and won just single conference game last year - this has now become a sick joke, sir. A sick, sick joke indeed! So you’ll forgive me if I chortle no longer, for to me, there is nothing the least bit funny about being owned by the likes of Iowa and Purdue and to be considered one of the most decrepit programs in all the land.

Our beloved football program needs an edit

I, like many, had high hopes when Trev was hired. But alas, after bringing back a coach that was 1-8 in a terrible conference one can only conclude that he lacks the intestinal fortitude to make difficult but proper decisions.

Trev now has the blood of not just one, but two football program on his hands

dude.....let the season play out ffs. This is koolaid season up in here. if you wanted to pout about how bad the huskers are, do it during and after the Iowa game where they needed a miracle punt block to get in the game where we were thrashing them with a backup QB with his first real action and without our best defender on the field.

The funny thing is...

The team you pretend you like sucks and the team you actually like sucks.

The announcement of the Alabama-Texas television network and possible kickoff time will be one of several early season games revealed over the next week or two. Kickoff time and television/streaming for most games from Week Zero through Week 3 will be announced in early June, likely just after Memorial Day weekend.

(Ireland) Northwestern - 1 PM on Fox or FS1

North Dakota - 7 PM BTN

Georgia Southern - 2:30 BTN

Oklahoma - 11 AM FOX

Indiana - 2:30 BTN

@ Rutgers - 6 pm Central - FS1 or BTN (Friday Night)

@ Purdue - 2:30 PM - ESPN/ ABC

Illinois - 7 PM BTN

Minnesota - 2:30 pm - ESPN/ABC

@ Michigan - 6:30 ESPN/ABC

Wisconsin - 3:00 PM FS1

@ Iowa - 1:30 pm (Friday Afternoon)

I think the North Dakota and Illinois Games will be preseason scheduled BTN Night games. The Indiana game is Nebraska's Homecoming. That will be a protected time slot of 2:30 or 3:00 pm. Big Ten rules allow programs to select the kick off time of their homecoming games. The Minnesota game is the only home game that could potentially get flexed out for a night game.
