Any guesses on when some times will be announced? Really would like to come back for the OU game but if its an 11am kick I am out. At this point the gameday experience is as much about the tailgate as it is the game. That 11am kick makes getting down there a real test of will.

9/17 Games
OU at NU
MSU at Washington
Penn St at Auburn
UConn at Michigan
Colorado at Minnesota
BYU at Oregon
Nevada at Iowa
NM St at Wisconsin
MT St at Oregon St
Fresno St at USC
ND St at Arizona
SD St at Utah
Toledo at OSU

odds look pretty good it would be an 11a game looking at the slate of games that day for the Prime Fox slot. Michigan St at Washington or Penn St at Auburn would be the only other choice IMHO.

I s

Is Nevada Iowa’s big out of conference game this year?

i believe Iowa plays a power 5 team from the big12 every single year

who did Nebraska play last year out of conference? (please exclude any teams that our head coach was attempting to move heaven and earth in an effort to get out of the game)

Depends if both teams are undefeated it could be a night game with college GameDay likely in town

I guess some would consider Iowa State to be a better team than Nevada. But that’s questionable.

over the last 4 years both Nevada and Iowa State have had winning seasons each and every year and have gone to a bowl each of those years

please compare and contrast that to the team Iowa has played the Friday after thanksgiving each of the last 4 years

Why are you spending your Monday evening on a Nebraska message board, you weirdo. You don’t have anything better to do, you? No family or friends I assume, you just live a miserable life.

This post is going to anger you but that just means I am 100% correct. So please don’t bother responding and embarrassing yourself any further Lmao.

i am spending part of my Monday night the exact same way you are — discussing Nebraska football

actually of the 2 of us - I am only one discussing Nebraska football - you on the other hand, instead of discussing Neb football are choosing to spend your Monday night discussing what someone else is discussing about Neb football … that is indeed sad. 😞

Fox doesn't have control over SEC or PAC12. Pretty much means 11am kick for OU

A competent AD will get this game at night

thankfully Trevs wealth of experience in back room dealings with the big networks while in the Summit league will pay big dividends for us

That won't matter. Fox and ESPN/ABC basically draft which Big10 home games they want for their networks during the summer. Nebraska/OU will be the 3rd pick to Fox meaning it will be an 11am BigNoon game. Unless they decide to take a different game, which I can't see happening.

Why would Oklahoma’s AD want the game to be at night in Lincoln?

Trev needs to get it done
Do you have any clue how badly Oklahoma wanted a late afternoon/ night in Norman last year?

If you had half a brain AD’s don’t make the decision what time to play it’s the TV people ESPN, ABC, FOX etc etc..

Get a clue..

No chance this is an 11am kick. Great chance of both teams undefeated, both ranked (although maybe not NU until after we beat OU), OU ranked high, historic rivalry, first time for OU back in Lincoln in a long time. They will pump this one up.

You're setting yourself up for disappointment. Fox puts their #1 game at 11am. That's just how it is, and most likely how it will be again this year.

Fox can put any game they pick at any time slot they want. They just put their #1 game at 11am as a part of their "Big Noon" thing. They didn't want to complete with the ABC/Gameday game at night.
I believe they didn’t want to compete with CBS and the 2:30pm SEC games..

I wont be disappointed. I dont really care all that much, I just think its dumb when they stick these types of games so early. Iowa Nevada, sure, but NU OU deserves better.

Oh I 100% agree. I hope that it somehow works itself out to be a home night game. I'm just not getting my hopes up.

Get a clue..

there was some talk of being a night game, however,

1. When tv scheduling was being determined it was discovered that our head coach was actively trying to void the game. No way was a night game going to be scheduled under those circumstances. In fact there were legitimate concerns even just days prior to the game whether we were going to show as there was real consideration about just forfeiting the game

2. As it has been said previously the networks set the time slots. However, influential ADs can on occasion get games moved to a more appealing time slot for their purposes. No way, however, was OUs AD going to extend any political capital and call in favors in order to move a game in which they were playing possibly the worst power 5 team in college football - who as indicated above may or may not even show up to play

There's a certain level trolling gets to where it goes from being stupid and annoying to being able to laugh at it because it's so bad, it's become almost a parody of trolling. You sir are at that level. Well done. One of the single dumbest things I have ever read.

See, this is where you Iowa fans always end up painting yourself in the corner.

Your lame team, who had one of their greatest seasons ever last year (which is sad), needed a miracle to beat NU, who was starting a backup QB...

That is why teams like Iowa don't really even get made fun of...because they are a nobody and a never has been.

Iowa could play at UGA or Bama next year and ticket sales for that game would go down. Think about that.

Keep playing ISU and keep pretending like "you have to play them" and keep playing UNI.

As noted not an Iowa fan

Iowa didn’t need a miracle they simply had to be patient and just wait for Nebraska to be Nebraska which they promptly did getting a punt blocked - after that blocked punt we still had the lead however our coach stated in the post game that he knew the game was over at that point - that is the loser’s mentality that is being coached - we still are in the lead but the head coach thinks the game is lost because of a negative play

same thing in almost every other Neb game last year - MSU just had to wait for Neb to be Neb. Michigan just had to wait for Neb to be Neb. Illinois-Purdue-Wisc just had to have faith that Neb would be Neb.
