Jared Carter vs. Reggie Hanson
Pick Pulaski County

Bowling Green vs. Anybody
a choker, and my arch rival – Anybody but Bowling Green

Harlan County – shades of Wah Wah Jones
pick Harlan County

Pikeville – hearkening back to John Bill Trivett
If it were Hazard High School – maybe different.

Collins H.S. (Shelby County) vs. Elliott County (no discrenable past)
take Collins

Cooper vs. Meade County – based soley on Meade County’s record
take Cooper

Ballard vs. Taylor County – taking Clem’s school in an upset
Of course, nobody on this board knows who “Clem” is
taking Taylor County

Fern Creek vs. Hopkinsville – the Jefferson County losers versus the thugs
take Fern Creek because of the better record

I think the reason there is an "lol" is because Perry Central is anything but Perry County. They have a player from Philadelphia who lives with the coach and two 6-9 boys from Nigeria. Recruited and bought their way to Rupp. With that said...your prediction may be right because they will probably be in the semis due to their talent level and size.

Considering us hoptown thugs already crushed fern crick by 20 78-58, Il say hoptown wins again.

I think BG wins it. State tourney is nothing after surviving the massacre.

Graves Co. may pull off the upset over BG if BG sleeps. They have a 7-0 & 6-8 front line. They have 3 guys that can knock down 3's & handle the ball. Quick for white boys.

If BG comes to play & stays focused no one will beat them.

Went to the first session yesterday. Both games were close in the first half and then the favorites ran away in the second half. Bowling Green and Scott County will determine the winner of the top half.

I was surprised at Perry Co. Central's height and size. They got three guys who can dunk.

Also, after watching Pikeville play, I can't believe how small kids are today. You would never see a team that small ever make it out of the region in the 90s. They honestly looked like middle school kids.

Perry has entered the Sweet 16 on a bit of a disappointing note. They played well enough to win the region but just barely. I can't see them advancing very far unless they fix some issues as they seemed to be playing better ball in mid Feb. It very well couldve been Knott Central as the 14th representative...

I'm gonna say the winner of BG v. Scott County wins the state title. I'm going with BG. They've all been there before, lost in the championship two years ago, just think it's finally their year.

State Tournament honoring the 1967 Champions Earlington High School winners 54-53 over Covington Catholic. What a fun team the Yellow Jackets were to watch.

Meade County''s star player was out with an injury during the middle of the season. They lost a lot of games with him out. With him, they are something like 12-2.

Not world beaters, but much much better than their record.

If JBS is telling the truth.. All wins from the big guys that transferred to Perry from there played in will be taken away no matter how far they go in the sweet 16.. They're willing to give up their wins with them to get Perry in trouble.. They're claiming Tobler and the other big kid are 100% ineligible..

Scott County has 12 freshmen and sophomores...ridiculously good for such a young team

Used to love the state tournament but probably won't return. Too many big schools now. Back in the day, it was easy to go as a casual fan and pick up a small school cinderella team to pull for. After the first round, there are no small schools left and the chances of a city school or mega school winning take the fun out of it.

Shelby Valley is single A and they won it all in 2010. I think Ellliot County got to the semis not too long ago as well.

Can you elaborate? What are they claiming exactly and what was their role?

What I said is all I know right now.. That JBS has info that can prove both of those guys are ineligible to be playing.. They have went from 2 Knott Co schools,, Cordia and JBS and Perry Central in last 2 years or so..

Only one game was decided by single digits and that was an eight point game that went to OT. The second round should be better.

Is Cordia the one where Rhodes was at and got in trouble?

That was a rare exception to an unfortunate trend.

Bowling Green beat Scott County. I'm sure that will be our state champion.

Watch it be Bowling Green vs Ballard
