If my kid was a top 20 recruit I wouldn't have him sign a loi either. What if a coach leaves, the school gets in trouble, everyone comes back, ect? Sign the financial papers and keep your options open in case something bad happens. The downside is the school could pull your scholly but if you are that highly rated they won't.
You have to admit, the Cal cult on here stick together. Frank is the leader, they tell us Cal is knocking it out of the park in recruiting, so all is good.

I'm all in on the Cal cult and will probably take a minute for me to recoup when he decides to step down. Its been nothing but fun for me since he has been here. The thing aboutt the UK job is more than coaching, you have to get out in front of cameras and travel the state to meet folks. You have to be a bit arrogant without being a dick and Cal gets it.

This board is becoming unreadable. Mods need to clean house, the short term traffic increase from rival fans and trolls won’t outweigh long time users that are getting fed up with it, but whatever.
It's the excuse that this board makes acting like UK recruits are smarter, that's why they don't sign. Somehow, other programs do get 5 stars to sign LOIs. This may be nothing, but it isn't a good sign.
A voice of reason in this mess we call Rupp Rafters. Thank god someone gets it. If we ran Cal off, who would even want to come? It will be a hard pill to swallow when Cal decides to hang it up and many of these posters calling for something different will be left looking like idiots when we can’t land a big name coach. No one wants to deal with the pressure of some of these idiots that know nothing about basketball beside laying on the couch and drinking beer while yelling Go Cats.
