Heard that Davis is suspended for the Northwestern game for striking an Ohio St player? Guess I hadn’t heard anything about it until today.

Better than seeing one of our players get knocked on his *** then ask the same guy to help him up.

Yeah sucks but not worrisome IMO, that might be the deepest position on the whole team.

Meanwhile the Buckeye DB who dived at Martinez's knees when he was five yards out of bounds gets no further punishment. There was a personal foul flag on that play, but it amazes me how college football picks out certain things for which it will drop the hammer, while ignoring others.

F@83 that! That’s BS.
There’s a face mask penalty in the beginning of the 3rd quarter (1459 mark) that I’m watching on Illinois against us, on Wan’Dale returning the kick off that doesn’t get called against them that should’ve been called, and they did nothing.
They just pick and choose in this league...

Did he see action last week I wonder just because Chinander knew the game was lost anyway so why not toss him in there and see how he swims, or is he truly ready to play? I would rather see Stille than Green.

was a complete horseshit play. I was disappointed nobody got in that guy's face and at least gave him a shove.

I forget where I read it, but they fully intend to use him at least 4 games. They want to use him against the more physical teams like Northwestern, Wisconsin, Iowa or Minnesota

there’s an article done on 24/7 where Coach T says they still plan on redshirting J Green and saving his 4 games against the run heavy teams. I remember reading that yesterday, so you are correct sir.

The other was when Maurice Washington was tackled in the first half and the tackler gave his leg a big twist. Mo left after that play and hardly played the rest of the game. He got up limping severely. That deal should be flagged everytime and the perp should be ejected and suspended for at least a game. That is absolutely nothing more than an attempt to injure a knee or ankle.

This goes back years, but in the Wisconsin vs Nebraska Big 10 Title game Wisconsin LB Borland body slammed Taylor Martinez after the whistle had blown. No flag. But Kenny Bell levels a Wisconsin player with a Legal block...I repeat Legal block and gets flagged.

The Big 10 officiating totally sucks!

Nebraska's Khalil Davis suspended one game by the Big Ten

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference office announced today that Nebraska football player Khalil Davis has been suspended one game and issued a public reprimand for violating the Big Ten Sportsmanship Policy after he struck an opposing player near the 9:18 mark of the first quarter against Ohio State on Sept. 28. Davis is ineligible to play in Nebraska’s next game on Oct. 5 against Northwestern.
Big Ten Conference Agreement 10.01 states in part that “The Big Ten Conference expects all contests involving a member institution to be conducted without compromise to any fundamental element of sportsmanship. Such fundamental elements include integrity of the competition, civility toward all, and respect, particularly toward opponents and officials.”

The Big Ten Conference considers this matter concluded and will have no further comment.

They need to review the purposeful leg twist on Maurice Washington. Won't happen.

I missed that one, but it's not surprising.

Hmmm, I didn’t see him make any tackles, so how could he have struck him or hit anyone? :D Just kidding.

If you are talking about the tackle on our first drive before the first interception, I wouldn't call that a dirty play. Both players were moving at ahigh rate of speed and the defender hung on the tackle. Personally think it's a heck of a good play and wish our guys would tackle like that

I believe Coach Frost has issued a statement which basically says that Nebraska supports the one games suspension… that's what I heard on the radio. If true, that pretty much ends the matter. He may comment on it later but a statement of approval limits how much he can argue. Perhaps he can explain more clearly what specific conduct was involved - that is a bit murky.
