Wish we had KJJ as a soph, but ya can’t smoke grass in this position.. not saying it’s good in any position but Com’On Man - Ya got a full ride with who knows what after that. That fact he was offered to come back was a shock to me anyway.
At times Jackson looked like the most talented guy in our secondary. Other times he looked lost. I think the scheme was part of it and playing injured was another part of it. The kid is a tremendous athlete and I think his talent will be much better utilized by our new staff. He has tremendous potential.I’m quite sure Coach Frost won’t make foolish snap judgements like the one you just made. We need as many athletes to stay here and see what they can do with coaches who know what they are doing. Jackson was highly recruited and is a great athlete. Comparing him even remotely to Key Jr — who really did embarrass himself by showing no maturity and not even suiting up — is just silly. Get with the new program.

people need to lay off these guys and let them have a fresh start with this new staff. We need Jackson. He's kind of been thrown to the wolves if you ask me. He was expected to be a producer and hasn't been for whatever reason, doesn't take away his athletic ability though. I hope he finds his guidance..

Just once I'd like to see a thread where a kid chooses to play for football for someone other than NU and we don't question his character.
It's not that hard to make a case for KJJ wanting to play for another program. He and his father had a strong connection to Mike Riley and the rest of the staff and now they're gone. Beyond that, he was committed to playing in a pro style offense. Or perhaps he just decided that he wants to stay closer to home. Give the kid a break!
I would prefer fans don't threaten to stop being fans because of a rough year, but that's just me.I would just prefer we say "Best of luck" no matter what we might be thinking and prove we are the best fans in the country.
Did you watch the games last year? He cannot/will not execute the elementary components of tackling.....and at times he gave terrible effort. I hope it turns around for him.I’m quite sure Coach Frost won’t make foolish snap judgements like the one you just made. I suspect there wasn't mutual interest. Maybe a bit slow for the new offense.
I hope so too. That was one of the most frustrating parts of this season.. the piss poor attitude of some guys who seemingly have the most potential. Jackson and Nick Gates hopefully will have a huge attitude adjustment with the new staff.Did you watch the games last year? You need to watch Charlie McBride’s assessment of the defense. Poor coaching — especially handcuffing the D-line — put unnecessary pressure on the cornerbacks. Jackson’s a freshman who has a lot to learn, and being horribly confused by bad coaches didn’t help the situation. It’s really short-signed to cast aspersions on him. The new staff will properly develop his talent, they certainly don’t want him to transfer.Did you watch the games last year? I said it all year when people ripped him apart. Nobody is going to look good in a defense where the cornerback is expected to make almost every tackle, and try and cover receivers (because the D Line and backers were performing at Junior High levels)You need to watch Charlie McBride’s assessment of the defense.
