The kid just decommitted from Clemson. I hope Schiano, Fran Brown and Robb Smith are on the phone.

When Oklahoma started sniffing around Clemson DC Brent Venables for their HC job he started listening to Michigan. Venables was also his main recruiter. When h took the Oklahoma job Sabb wasn't going to stay with Clemson.

Let’s compile a list of Michigan natives who played for Rutgers. Recently, a QB, right? NJ’s been pretty damn generous to Michigan (and Michigan State to a lesser extent) for years.

Kid decommitted knowing his next destination is going to be Michigan. No reason to even bother here.
Throw the Hail Mary pass and see if there is a possibility that the kid is homesick. What's there to lose? At the very least, you develop a relationship with the kid in case he's not happy and goes to the portal a la Drew Singleton.

You really have no idea how recruiting works do you?

Why do you ask?
It was more of a statement than a question.

Recruiting is about relationships not Hail Mary's and RU has been recruiting this kid for several years already. Sabb is from south Jersey and Fran Brown knows all about him. Once he transferred to IMG Academy there was no shot for RU. No local prospect goes down there just to land an RU offer.

happen before that. Clemson has a no visit policy if you are committed to clemson. He visited michigan for the osu game and did not tell clemson about it.

I know that it was a statement but I was asking why you made that statement.

Obviously, we both know about the play that Roger Staubach and Drew Pearson made famous, but we are using the term "Hail Mary" in different ways. The relationship may be broken but I still can't see why Greg can't make a call to see if the kid got homesick while he was in Florida away from his family (Hail Mary pass). It happened once with Sitkowski. (No need to explain how he lost his starting job to Annexstad so Miami pulled the offer, but he still could have committed elsewhere.) It can happen again (TD Pearson!).

And this is why I made the statement, you clearly don't know how it works. The staff continues to maintain relationships with many recruits even after they have committed elsewhere. It has nothing to do with broken relations.

And stop with these lies about Art. Art and Ash needed each other, no one else was pursuing Art as a starter after Miami dropped him like a hot potato and Ash needed a QB to sell a recruiting vision to future classes. Both bombed in epic fashion. We would have been better off not taking him in hindsight.

I'm going to have to call bullđź’© on your "recruiting knowledge". Ash would not have stuck with Art for so long if he wasn't promised a starting job. If no one else was pursuing Art as the starter, Ash would have pulled him after the Kansas game.

Yes, I don't know if these relationships were "broken" and you don't either. However, I used the term in response to your post about how recruiting is about relationships. Nice try, but you are pulling this knowledge out of the wrong end of your body.

The information we get from a paid subscription goes a lot more in depth than anything you can wrap your head around. Between this thread and Moses Walker we see how well you're doing solo.

As for Ash, desperate men do desperate things. It was clear to everyone that Art was beyond green and he should have been pulled after the Kansas game. Yet he didn't get pulled as the starter until game 12. Why, not because Art showed something on the field but because Ash was selling Art as the savior to the next recruiting class. And it was cited by many of the offensive skill position recruits in the premium articles we got. So poop on that.

This thread? Give me a break all you did was twist my words to support your recruiting knowledge. I used words like "Hail Mary" and "broken relationships" and twisted it to mean something completely different. I am sure that there are advantages of a premium subscription but you are totally full of it.

when you are a team like clemson or a couple other team you can do that but everybody else does not even try. clemson has that rule but they do not enforce it on the highly rated recruits. Sabb was in pictures on social media at michigan game but clemson did nothing to him
