cherished for life? Go to the IU board.. they were absolutely trashing Langford for 2 months.
Lot of signs pointing to UK but with two weeks to go I imagine IU, MSU and UNCheat will all be working him hard to choose their schoolIndiana's 247 site did an interview with Trayce Jackson-Davis last week. I just now read it.
I can't share the full details here because it is premium, but I will say, when asked about his buddy Keion, he didn't sound all that optimistic on him choosing IU. Mentioned how he wasn't pressuring him and he wants Keion to do what's best for Keion.
Could be nothing, just found it interesting.
When have we not had a PF as our center? Monty is a PF. Reid is a PF.
It’s just my opinion. I think I’m on an island in thinking that. Why all of a suddenly is Whitey gonna be our SG next year? I thought he was a SF that would play some small ball PF. I've not watched a ton of his games but if he's our SG next season we're not gonna be a good 3 point shooting team. While he can hit enough to keep defenders honest at the SF position, he's not Monk, Knox or even Gabriel from the arc.
Nah I've heard a few say that. Maybe he is very capable of playing the 2 and I'm the one not seeing it lol. If he can stay with other 2's we would be a defensive monster with Maxey and Whitney's length. It’s just my opinion. I think I’m on an island in thinking that.

Todd is a 4 anyway, isn't he? The only center we have is Richards.
Brooks is a 3/4. We have to add Todd and get Ej/Nick back, plus add someone else...either a grad transfer, foreign player or another reclassify...otherwise we are gonna be running some small lineups, bulk wise.
I still think Herro and/or Hagans will be back next year.
Plenty of minutes for Whitney, Montgomery, Richards, Todd, and Brooks in the frontcourt.
SF Whitney(25)/Brooks(15)
PF Todd(25)/Montgomery(10)/Brooks(5)
C Montgomery(20)/Richards(20)
That's just an estimate with everyone getting at least 20 minutes.
Don't see Herro returning and I am doubtful that Hagans returns, so I think it will be Maxey, Quickley, Baker, and Allen in the backcourt.
PG Maxey(30)/Quickley(10)
SG Quickley(15)/Baker(15)/Allen(10)
That's if Allen is completely healthy.
It seems like people misunderstand the way recruiting coverage goes (or maybe I do!). Rarely - as in maybe never - will a kid tell someone months in advance "hey, I'm going to X school", so that guy gets to break hard, precise news. Seems to me all these guys can do is read tea leaves. Collect facts and observations, add them together, try to make an educated guess, and file stories based upon that.
The very nature of that surely implies they will be wrong often. Even if they are right when they report it, there is always a chance a kid changes his mind along the way, even at the last minute. I have an 18 year old kid, I know how easily they can change even a very firm/heartfelt/passionately held viewpoint. And that's just the kid, in this context you have multiple adults tugging at the kid trying to change his mind.
So, based on all that, why should anyone pay attention to recruiting coverage? Beats me, that's why I don't. Clearly there is a market for it, people are starved for any real morsels of information they can get. But again, all these guys can do is make educated guesses - so I don't understand why anyone would be upset when a guess proves wrong. It's a guess.......
I think that’s a good guesstimate if your 2019-2020 roster scenario plays out (which sounds like a reasonable prediction to me). But I would think UK is really shy one (if not two) guards there. Still, who knows? Maybe conventional wisdom is wrong and Hagans and/or Herro will return. I really like the recruits, but I personally don’t look forward to any lineups where a freshman Whitney, Brooks or Allen is playing the 2G. I also like the versatility of starting Brooks at the PF spot if he’s getting shored up by Montgomery/Richards at the Center.Plenty of minutes for Whitney, Montgomery, Richards, Todd, and Brooks in the frontcourt.

Okay. Thanks. Great insight. You are a genius. We can all learn a lot from someone like you.
Anyone heard anything new on the rumors that KBJ might be visiting IU for the Rutgers game on Sunday?

Yea I believe Rutgers is favored in that contest of heavy weights ! If IU does win does that firmly put them in the NIT , or will they still be on the bubbleAnyone heard anything new on the rumors that KBJ might be visiting IU for the Rutgers game on Sunday?

:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
- Supposedly, I heard that he talked it over with his parents and he was going to the final IU home game Sunday afternoon.
- Supposedly, I also heard that's how he'd arrive at his final commitment decision on IU or not before the 15th.
- Supposedly, according to "sources", they (KBJ/ fam) are expecting an upset win for IU Thursday night at Illinois and if (BIG IF) IU beats RU, there's a marginal chance that KBJ will commit to the IU Loosiers and Archie Andrews late Sunday or early Monday morning in his 3rd period SH.
- Supposedly, there is a rumor that if IU can knock-off both perennial FAKE-14 azure-bloods Illinois and Rutgers, they can beat just about 40% of their league opponents and that is evidently the minimum threshold for winning that KBJ is looking for, in potentially committing to IU, and their low school and fan base expectations.
- (I DON'T BELIEVE IT) But, evidently the constant preparation, fan and media pressure, national exposure, top schedule, constant competition, competent coaching and being treated hourly like a king, may be more than KBJ is looking for in UK, so why not just stay at home and go the "simple" journeyman route with IU (?)..................

Typed it all in one breath too.

Do you not think Tyler's been playing well enough to earn a first round pick? The reason I ask is because I'm of the firm opinion that the ONLY way TH comes back is if he's not projected first round. If some team gives him a first round nod, he's not coming back. I'd wager on that.Todd is a 4 anyway, isn't he? The only center we have is Richards.

Could anyone design a less interesting college basketball game involving teams from BCS conferences than Rutgers versus Indiana?
Boston College versus Wake Forest or Vanderbilt versus Missouri would be marquee match-ups compared to that dog. Maybe it is good for Kentucky if he does go, having seen Rupp at its most dazzling recently, and a win over a #1 team.

Thanks man.Peegs just flipped to UK. Congrats on the pick up.

Why all of a suddenly is Whitey gonna be our SG next year?
That means that there is a very good chance brooks ends up at kentucky. Pegram is pretty dialed into the brooks recruitment. Not being a prick, but does that mean something? TIA

I love reading the assumed presumption that herro is nba bound for sure after this yr. I think he tests the waters, but I fully expect to have him back. I know everyone will point to booker, but I still think herro isn’t nba ready just yet. He would be at Wisconsin a minimum of 3 years.
Nope he will be our SG unless Herro comes back and I think most people believe this now. He is a pro SG and a college SF but he can be a SG just fine too in college. That is why Brooks is coming in. He will be our starting SF and Maxey and Whitney our backcourt. No other reason Brooks would be coming here as he is not the player Whitney is . Whitney is an ultra elite player who will be a top 5 draft pick.Brooks is more along the lines of a PJ type talent , a kid who if he wants to be drafted in the 1st round needs 2 years.Make no mistake we still need 2 front court players for our PF if Richards and EJ are our centers. Hopefully Todd and Mcdaniels fill that .It’s just my opinion. I think I’m on an island in thinking that.
Yes because Wisky doesn't have Cal getting kids ready nor the spotlight. Herro is gone but boy would I be stoked if he wasn't .Did you hear what he said after the game ? I know I need to listen to Cal as he will get me to the next level or some such thing . It was pretty obvious Herro would jump thru a wall if Cal said so as he knows Cal holds to key to him being a 1st rounder .I love reading the assumed presumption that herro is nba bound for sure after this yr.
