i have read articles and all articles indicate Kentucky is a better team and maybe so even though we played without Tre, Cam, and Alex. Besides youth can we stay in a game with Kentucky?

What I'm saying is we have a good team other than experience dont see why writers are favoring Kentucky.

Ky has no chance ......refs won't let them win....just ask them....the NCAA is against them!!

In all seriousness........both teams are going to be good. I wouldn't bet a lot of money either way. But stay in the game? Both will be in the game. I expect a 5 points or less win either way.......if we were playing later in the year, we would have a better chance because fat Zion may be slimmed down by then

Nobody knows until the game is played. We both have good teams. I say single digits either way and both of our teams will be better come March.

I really wish we played later in the year when both teams are what they will be
I think will. Usually the NCAA tries to put top power teams and rivals against each other during the tournament but I bet they put both of us on the other side of the bracket.

Personally, I think UK and Duke will be in the championship game.

I think they are for sure two of the top programs. But crazy stuff happens in that tournament. I would love to see that though. Probably set a TV ratings record!

No one actually stays in a game with Kentucky (or UNC for that matter). Usually it takes 3 VERY corrupt refs, a truck load of cash and a whole lotta luck, just to make it to the second half alive.

Fortunately Duke has the ref angle covered (or so I've heard from UK & UNC fans), so it's just a matter of getting really hot and lucky.

God be with the Blue Devils.

In November Strictly based off the tour games both teams played, Kentucky should win. Their gaurd play and experience down low should help them alot. Plus this is the first time in years i think U.K. has a team that can shoot consistently.

Now this is just based off what we all saw with duke playing without 3 of their top 6/7 guys. I love tre and think he might be the best gaurd in the game. But U.K. will be throwing waves at him all game pressuring him nonstop with hagans, quickly and green. When Herro is in the game Duke cant get lost or caught up on screens like they was at times in the Canadian tour, the young man has a great shot and could go off for 20+if Duke allows him to get open. Travis down low is a strong young man thats gonna be a load for Dukes bigs to handle, Javin is my favorite player on Dukes team but unless he gets some more body control, i expecthim to be in foul trouble often.

Duke must get out in transition and not allow U.K to turn then over. Duke will most likely be the better team in March with R.J Cam Jones and Zion growing into their games, plus i expect someone else (hopefully bolden) to step up by the time march rolls around. But yes this UK team looks like a well balanced team with no significant weakness. But who knows cant really get a good feel for any team from playing against these tour teams.

In all seriousness, this game is good for college basketball. I hope were preseason. 1-2 but I think Kansas will probably mess that up.

UK doesn’t have a player that is in the same category as Zion, Cam or RJ. I would rather have Tre Jones than any of the three point guards UK going role with.

UK can throw waves at you but they don’t have an elite player in the category of Kevin Knox last year.

UK has a better bench however, K is going to play CAM, RJ, Tre and Zion thirty plus minutes a game so Duke‘s max rotation is going to be eight guys. Who cares if Kentucky’s ninth or tenth guy is better than Duke’s. It doesn’t matter.

Personally, think it’s going to come down to Cam vs Tyler Herro. We will need Cam to make Herro work his *** off for every 3 pt shot that he takes. Herro is the next Devin Booker at UK. On offense, can Cam, AOC, or Baker hit their 3 pt shots and make UK pay for using that defender to double Zion and RJ.

On paper UK’s frontcourt is better especially given the play of Bolden in Canada.

It’s going to be a good game but I like Dukes chances especially if Cam, Jones and AOC are back.

Because you made the shut off at 20 years which would be 1999 season. Even though we won Championships in 96, runner ups in 97, and won another championship in 98.

20 years with one championship is where you started your post. Add 3 years to that and we have 3.

It’s the typical debate between different fanbases. That start and stop their dates to enhance their side. Every fanbase does it. Nothing personal.

I like to look at overall history. Who has the most championships, most wins, etc... I’m not looking at a five, ten, or twenty year period. When you do that you could easily say UConn is the best ever, etc...

I don’t exclude history and tradition. I don’t exclude Championships or wins, nor final fours, runner ups, etc...

All of it matters if you debate what team is the best ever.

Just saying you left off the 21st, 22nd, and 23rd past years of UK’s history which would add 2 more Championships. Just saying.

Congrats on those titles in 1948, 1949, 1951, and 1958. From everything I’ve read about the times back then, the athleticism on the court was off the charts!!!

The way I see it, Duke has 5 titles in the modern era of basketball. UK has 4.
5>4. Deal with it. Congrats on being a force in the 40’s and 50’s though, something to be really proud of.

Your exactly the homer type of fan I was talking about. You’re wanting to exclude the body of work to fit your narrative.

I don’t know how old you are but you are a Duke fan so I would expect you to know Dukes basketball history.

Do you know Duke had a lot of great teams during those years that your trying to tarnish UK’s Championships back then? Duke had great teams back then and we’re very respected. They just never won a championship. So, does Duke’s history start at Coach K’s hiring? Are you disrespecting all the great teams Duke had before? Should Duke’s wins before K became coach not count?

See, if I was a fan like you and wanted to pick and choose time eras and leave out facts to make your argument look better then by your logic Duke wasn’t ever good before K arrived. But being I know Duke’s history I know they’ve been a very respectful program even in the 40’s and 50’s. In which you want to delete history and act like it never happened.

And your Mod just told me the reason he posted 20 years was because it was a even number. 70 years is a even number. And guess what happened in 70 years at UK? 8 National Championships, most wins of any program.

8>5. Besides history, I know math as well.

Have a good day.
