I like your optimism. Really do. I will say that most of Cals team play to their competition. Maybe a good game opens up, plenty of transition, good flow, low fouls, and let's our young guys show out.

I think it might be closer than most of us thinks.

We need rebounding, smart bball, and better defense.

Tennessee St. was essentially a .500 team last year, they beat not a single opponent of note, and for what it's worth, they split last year against Morehead St. who we just beat in exhibition, and lasted longer in the OVCT..

I wouldnt be surprised if we rise to the occasion and play them tough , but cant see us winning this one . Hope I'm wrong .

I'm keeping my expectations low for tomorrow. Our defense has been terrible so far and Vermont's PG got to the rim at will. If Kansas is hitting outside shots it could get ugly. I'm hoping for a good, hard fought game that we have a chance to win down the stretch. I do think we will be better than KU by March though.

Our inability to guard the perimeter may get us beat on Tuesday. Vermont really exposed this young team on defense last night. Look for Self to game plan to take advantage of that. KU's guards are very good and quick. If we can't stop the drive and dish, Cal may have to dust off the zone. Good early test for Cal to build off of.

i'll wait and see how lawson and buike play, but kansas is the definition of a 3 guard team that jacks threes. svi, newman and graham are all shoot first and drive later.

also doesn't seem like any of their bigs really play above the rim.

I think it may be similar to the MSU game in 2013. We will likely get down a bit early, but then hopefully we settle in and fight back to make it a good game. I don't think it will be the blowout some are expecting, but I won't be surprised if KU is able to maintain a decent lead for most of it either. Good news, AAU guys tend to love the spotlight and really get up for games like this, so could be a good one.

I had UK beating KU every year other than when Ulis team went to phog. This will be the other time where I’d be presently surprised if UK wins this one. Two main reasons is youth and defending the perimeter. Issue one is directly correlated to issue number two. I’d give UK more of a chance is Cal would go zone for 75% of the game

Lawson doesn’t play until next season. They start 4 guards (Vick is the other one)

I would not bet my screen name no matter how confident I was who might win, I'm hoping for a win always but we havea young squad and its only the third game of the year, GBB

Im a huge UK fan, but i have a lot of perspective...what many lack here. I think we lose 9 games this year and unfortunately, tomorrow is one of them.

If we beat KU tomorrow it will be by a Cat team
We haven’t seen so far the first two games ......
Love to see them again in March when it counts though ....... we all know how that would play out
