Kentucky Wide Receivers

[Doc4UK!]

Have we ever had such an athletic and versatile group of wide receivers like Ferguson, Darby, Anderson , Miller, and Rodriguez. They are all making big plays after big plays. To me Ferguson has been the biggest surprise. He and Darby look like they can both play on Sundays.

They looked like our weakest position group going into the year after we missed on a few higher profile guys in the portal. We were gonna need guys to step up, and they really have so far.

I would say that 2007 group with Keenan Burton, Stevie Johnson, and Dicky Lyons Jr. at receiver and Jacob Tamne at tight end could stack up talent wise. 19 years is a long time to go without a similar talent level though. I’m definitely excited about what Stein is building.

Shane Carr and Prince Jean are really good too, just haven’t had as many reps. That’s a deep room.

Even better is that at least by eligibility, the entire WR & TE rooms could return in 2027 except for:
WR: Nic Anderson
TE: Henry Boyer, Elijah Brown

Now, I doubt Willie Rodriguez will be back in 2027, but he at least COULD return if he doesn't think his NFL stock is high enough.

Rodriguez could make more money at UK next year if he is not picked in the first three rounds

I’m excited about Prince Jean when he gets some reps in the future. Hope he stays.
