If the Virginia Tech game have been played on neutral I have a feeling we would have lost that game as well. We may get beat by 20 today.

And this is after Camp Cal. That’s what is scary.
Never seen our boys get worse after that. Something is wrong today.

Don't blame the team. These are the players Cal picked. They were marginal in hs last year and less than that tbis year. They have not had a lick of coaching. Really disappointed in Cal getting eat by an utterly TERRIBLE TEAM

Ehh. Cats look like sloppy and or seems UCLA is just our hustling/working the cats. UCLA isn’t as god awful as some on here are saying tho.

PJ seems to be a complete non factor...

Coming into the season, def expected some losses such as this (potentially) . Quite surprised actually we don’t have 2 or 3 losses already but I’m still fairly confident we will be ready to roll come February/ March.

That being said, will probably try and avoid this thread / similar sky is falling/ Cal sucks/ we are an NIT team/ we should just give up now/ we should be like DOOoOOk/ threads that will inevitable surface from now until tomorrow evening

Remember , other teams (duke included ) have lost some head scratchers this year as well (Zona... )

Still love the Cats and Cal :)

The one thing that bothers me about this game is, after the last couple of years, how do you leave Welsh open for that man 3-pointers? He's proven, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he can make them. We're not shooting well, and we're getting some bad bounces. Those things will happen, but how have we not learned to guard him?

Because very few teams have centers that can shoot 3s so our guy's instinct is to run to the rim.

Too late to go to the zone now to bail your *** out now, Cal. Not fair to the boys to put them this far down.

Can someone explain to me the doom and gloom of a "terrible" loss? Yes UCLA isn't that good this year but it's far from a terrible loss. Neutral court and an 8-3 team who has only lost to Creighton , Michigan and Cincinnati. Not a "terrible" loss at all. Not a game we should lose but far from the end of the world. Not to mention plenty of time left. Have a little faith and root for your team instead of constantly ***** and complain.
Not so much that it's a bad lost as the way that we are losing. Losing on effort is not a great way to lose.
