***** KENTUCKY VS. PROVIDENCE OFFICIAL GAME THREAD *****

[tls]

Cal had a 10 point lead even if briefly

[ck-2]

Gotta get Cason going. His shots are short

His shot has been off for a while and I suspect it’s due to his leg injury. Looks like he has a big brace on under that leotard.
I’d bet he’s in worse shape physically than the guy who isn’t playing anymore.

[wccat]

Oscars Dunk miss leads to a 3 on other end
4 TO led to 8 fast break points
no foul at end of half gives up 3
5 + 8 + 3 = 16

And those mistakes will end your season!

[Ugoff]

It’s this simple, if we play great defense and hit free throws down the stretch we win. If we give up easy basket and do our usual FF shooting, I’m going to need more pepto.

Put the pepto on stand-by.

[Woodrow24]

Opening up the second half, if I were Cal I’d have Toppin drive on Hopkins. I’d try to get that third foul on him early.

[RACdad]

The zebras let them play in the 1st. Hopefully they don't call it differently in the 2nd

[Crawfords Corner]

Croswell went flying because he didnt time the rebound, not anything Oscar did

[IYAOYAS1]

Criminal how tight these rims are

[Lazlo7]

The rim we are shooting at now is super tight

[ukgold]

If he drives and we foul him, he’ll hit his throws. Gotta play defense without fouling him.

ty

[ck-2]

I wish Toppin would follow his shot.

[TortElvisII]

Three shots three mid range clanks.

[tls]

Dang. Cold start

[Crawfords Corner]

2 min 15 second drought to start the half

[WildcatsAndBourbon_rivals395121]

If you have a 7’3”or4”or5” dude who isn’t completely incompetent, you should let him establish himself near the basket and then throw him the ball higher than anyone else could grab. Let him drop in a soft bank. This should be your play 80% of the time. Anything else is overthinking yourself out of winning. If you do this and still lose, then your defense is TERRIBLE.

[KentuckyStout]

Oscar a rebounding BEAST

[wccat]

Can we not make a shot and put this team away?

[permdaddy_rivals45705]

missed some really good looks to start the 2nd half.

[RoyKent]

We can’t make a damn shot

[ala_kat2]

How many jump shots is Toppin going to miss?

[NoahColeLiam2024!]

Brick, brick, brick, brick.

[KyCatFan1]

As usual can't take advantage of the first half lead. This is why not having a bigger lead hurts. Luckily they are struggling to.

[hotelblue]

man toppin, go to the rim. the guy is 5 inches shorter than you.

[Ash Williams]

Carter getting that Michael Bolton look

[IYAOYAS1]

I can’t watch this BS

[rick64]

Lousy start to the half.

[TheWyldKat_rivals45219]

If we keep missing all these LONG 2’s it’s gonna be ugly

[RoyKent]

This is stupid

[Bill - Shy Cat]

Oscar, gotta pass it out

[anon1751545683]

Toppin has to quit shooting those shots.

[Farsight]

WHY DO WE START THE 2nd HALF SO DAMN BAD EVERY GAME?

[chattanoogawildcat]

0-4 to start the half.

[HenryMuto]

Can't leave Locke open from 3 I learned that in the 2 Xavier wins over Providence.

Well the 11 point lead was fun while it lasted

[KyLegacyBBN]

Oh boy. Here we go

[kyjeff1]

Just like that, down to 3, because we can't score.
I'm telling you guys, it's our offense.

[Ash Williams]

Cal sucks again. Why no backdoor cuts?

[RACdad]

Yep

[ukjenning44]

Oscar trying to force it

[Crawfords Corner]

174 second scoring drought and its nothing that Providence is really doing

[wccat]

Yep! This is the team we have come to know!
