But for real this is another big game. UF has been playing better then they have all season IMO and last week we were lucky we came back and beat Ole Miss. I say we'll win by 7, but this game will be another hard one if we let it.

They are playing a lot better. I was shocked to hear they only lost 4 games in SEC play. They do still have a tough schedule left though.. once against LDU and two against the Good Guys.

I am waiting for that full 40 minute game both halves playing Outstanding and Consistent basketball like the 2nd half tonight vs. LSU. Coach Cal said the fans were outstanding vs. Ole Miss and usually the UF, UT, and Auburn games our fans are outstanding. The fans will be outstanding Saturday evening and there will be no trap game. I am more worried about our last game of the season at Florida. I believe we go 4-0 vs. UF, at Texas A&M, at home vs. Auburn and UT to go 25-5(15-2 SEC). The tough game will be in Gainesville vs. Florida in the last game of the season before the SEC Tournament in Nashville.

UF fan here. UF has done better than usual lately. When they are playing their proven best, I firmly believe they are capable of beating anybody. When playing their worst? A local community college could probably beat them.

UF has not dropped off it's consistency to play well like they've done in the beginning and middle of the season, but at the same time, they haven't played great teams. UK will definitely be a measuring stick on just how good UF is IF they play well aka defend the perimeter, move the ball, and play like a team instead of individuals.

At best? UF wins by 7
At worst? UF loses by 17

My heart says, UF - 69, UK - 64.
My brain says, UK -73 , UF - 66

You do know that Ole Miss just beat Florida by 17 within the last couple of weeks, right?

You must not watch UF play much or just look at the scores. When UF plays like a team should, they are very good....its why they crushed Auburn. However, they have bad games where they played like individuals....lack of ball movement/bad shot selection....little defense.....and that's why they have had bad games.

UF is noted as being very inconsistent. When they play well? They are a match for anyone. When they play poorly? even creampuffs can beat them.

It doesn't matter if it's been 2 weeks since Ole Miss or one day. It all depends on which team shows up. Since the Ole Miss loss and the fire under White's seat, the team is gelling more consistently. Who knows how long that will last though..... This is a team that is thought to be an 11 seed, bubble, or NIT team all within the same week and a half.

Florida has won five out six; however, they have played the worst teams in the SEC (Georgia, Texas A&M, Vandy twice, Arkansas, and Ole Miss - all five teams would be seeded between 9-14 in the SEC tournament), and four of those six were at home. Their schedule gets tougher; Florida should be able to beat almost anyone; they were preseason top ten for a reason. They have the talent; they have no excuses. Mike White should lose his job if they miss the tournament. They have Kentucky twice, @ Tennessee, LSU at home, and @ Georgia. They should win at least three out of five.

Also, they crushed Auburn because they suffocated them, and Auburn could not throw in the ocean, and the game was in Gainesville (Auburn is much better at home than they are on the road). That said, I like Kentucky this weekend, but Florida in Gainesville. Kentucky loves close games, so Florida definitely has a chance, whether they play terrible or not.

Also - Key to beating Florida, I think, is containing Noah Locke; he is shooting close to 55% from the three in conference play.

My comment was directed to the UK fan who opined that FL is playing their best ball of the season while we struggled to beat Ole Miss. While beating Georgia, aTm, Ark, & Vandy is good, and necessary to compete for the conference title, all of them are in the lower half of the conference and none of them are on particularly hot streaks. Losing to LSU, Baylor, MsSt, and Ole Miss within the last month also factor in one's recent trend.

Still, no doubt, the UK/FL games will be very competitive and UF could win.

yeah i’m not putting much credence in their beating auburn. auburn was crushed by bama just the game before that and it was probably more to do with auburn crapping the bed.

While watching UF last night made a point to look for court being named after Donovan, florida should be ashame its so small. Tgat3 man put that program on the map. Just shows UF well never be serious about basketball
