Kentucky @ Louisville Game Thread

The biggest fault of NIL is that it isn’t performance based. Free money and they don’t care about the name on their chest.

Exactly. Half should be guaranteed but the other half should absolutely be performance based. Including games played.

[Kingslayer07]

Have I just missed it , has Jasper played

Barely. Didnt take him long to jack up 2 terrible 3s though.

[Dr.LutherSan]

"I don't want to add Stokes to this team. This team is deep already and I'm afraid it would affect team chemistry."

[loublue22_rivals308424]

We aren’t a good shooting team. How many times did that kill Cal’s teams? We have some very good players (a lot of them), but no stars. Pole has to recruit better.

over and over. it always looks good on paper until you're out there and the other team has shooters everywhere, and you only have "length".

[sefus12]

20 million dollars for a roster you have to beat little brother that’s all there is to it!

It’s not like UL didn’t spend a lot of money as well.

[kywildcat1021979]

Man we really need JQ but to be honest this game I just don’t know. I just know next year we do need some top recruits like Stokes and Collins.

[Artlaibesghost]

The Cats have some problems but some of you guys are FULL OF IT. UL is best team I have seen so far. All the hatred in the world doesn't change that

[Vek96]

Ridiculous take. I'm not seeing poor effort. Im seeing some poor technique on defense (early in the season) and a good team shooting the ball against us.

I’m just seeing a lack of effort and intensity.

[darkshadesofblue]

It’s not like UL didn’t spend a lot of money as well.

And somehow pulled a guy out of the G-league

[Monday Nitro]

I hope so. Im not anywhere near that yet. I think if anything, its our basketball "operations" that is a little lacking (approach to recruiting, shoot-arounds off campus, weak student section, etc).

Still, lot of fans are still out on Pope it

Anyone down on Pope after what he’s accomplished so far, even if we lose this early season game in a madhouse superbowl, is an idiot that never liked the hire and will tell you how smart they are every chance they get.

[rick64]

BG 0 pts 3 rebs

[kyjeff1]

Then, watch this game

Name a coach that never had a bad game. I'll wait.

[UKCowboys]

Yeah, but you have trashed him in several posts. The players are the ones crapping the bed here. What do you want Pope to do?

Exactly. All this we have the wrong players in crap lol. Pope plays them all lol

[blackcat714]

3% shooting deference is killng us

[RunninRichie]

We need talent

[Anon1751335390]

Poor challenge. I thought it was obviously off our player laying on the baseline.

[TheWyldKat_rivals45219]

That’s the play we challenged? SMH

[bleedsblue5]

I just wanna defend better. I'm fine with the rest

[MidseasonTweak]

A stop and then a careless pass. Can't do it

[OliverSimmonsTwinBrother]

This Louisville team looked like crap against Kansas.

[mash_24]

We are missing a couple of pieces. Williams apparently is not close to ready. Jasper Johnson has to step up. He has to see Brown going off and accept the challenge. JQ should make a big difference defensively. But will he get back in time to develop some chemistry with the team?

[kyjeff1]

No dude. It’s not about the fact that we are losing. It’s how stupid the coaching is in this game.

[ChicagoCat90]

It’s not like UL didn’t spend a lot of money as well.

I brought both of my kids to the store and let them each spend $50. One bought an awesome Lego set that is a statement piece in his room. The other bought a bunch of cheap trinkets that all broke and got lost within days. Quality spending matters.

[Drogon]

I apologize officials. You were correct

[anon1777473514]

Name a coach that never had a bad game. I'll wait.

Name someone who said there are coaches who don’t have a bad game. I’ll wait

[JakeKx]

Just embarrassing. Losing anything to the city of Louisville is embarrassing. Like a third world country serving us Indian street food and making us like it

[bbnkat02]

Anyone down on Pope after what he’s accomplished so far, even if we lose this early season game in a madhouse superbowl, is an idiot that never liked the hire and will tell you how smart they are every chance they get.

I'm not completely down on him but I'm starting to have some questions.

[cornbreadnmilk]

He's coached poorly tonight. It's okay to tell the truth.

[KyLegacyBBN]

careless

[TheWyldKat_rivals45219]

Lazy lethargic passes

Enjoy yall. Turning it off

Not wasting my evening on this…..

[Kingslayer07]

It’s not like UL didn’t spend a lot of money as well.

They at least look the part.

[Vek96]

I just wanna defend better. I'm fine with the rest

Yep. Defense is worse than last season. Much worse.

[Anon1751335390]

Last years UK team was better.

Maybe, especially at full strength.

But let's not act like that team didn't look like crap numerous times.

[CrimsonCats_rivals]

We’re not going to win this game if we don’t find a way to stay in front of the ball. Louisville is definitely hot tonight, but most of their looks have been really good and not miracle shots.

[Colts240]

This team won’t win anything playing garrison meaningful minutes he sucks

[MbergCat]

Pope's gonna find out real quick what heat feels like.

[anon1777473514]

#receipts

You can do that with me if you want but I’m as big a Pope supporter as anyone out there. If you can’t call this what it is, that’s on you

[Kingslayer07]

This Louisville team looked like crap against Kansas.

Exhibitions dont mean a damn thing.

[kywildcat1021979]

It’s not like UL didn’t spend a lot of money as well.

You’re right but we were the biggest spenders and doesn’t look like we are getting very good return on our investment. Louisville is handing our butts to us.

[BCD]

I just hope JQ comes back, and lives up to the hype.
