The biggest fault of NIL is that it isn’t performance based. Free money and they don’t care about the name on their chest.

Our bigs are BAD on defense and UL is exploiting that. JQ better be all he’s hyped up to be if we want to do anything in the spring.

Also, Garrison is horrible and Oweh looks lost tonight. This feels like a complete blowout is coming.

Oweh should not have been paid to be “the man” on this team because, well, he just isn’t. He’s a solid role player. Garrison should have been let go. It sucks but he just isn’t ready to be anything but the 12th man.

I think thats gonna be a take away for me this game: we need elite talent. At least one or two. Moreno looks the part and sure enough, hes an elite recruit (or close to one).

You have to have guys who can do all three things, shoot, create space off the dribble and finish. This is one of the things that used to annoy me about Cal, and this looks a lot like a Cal team. And the defense isn't making up for any of the deficiencies.

This team would be better without Garrison on it. Period. Been saying that all off-season. He absolutely has peaked as a player. He's worse this year.

Game is far from over. They won’t hold this pace and we will make a run or two still. It’s early, pope plays smart lineups and we win.

Right now it’s not just a road loss. It’s a road spankin. But I do think they cool off. But then again their energy is several notches above ours either way. Better get some dudes with Attitude on the roster next year.
