The country is truly going to sh*t now.
Another Gorsuch clone coming.

Next to fallout will be Ginsberg? Breyer? Thomas is still pretty young but if he wants to go fishing he might step down knowing his seat will make america great again.

Not really. Wonder if Flake and Corker block the appointment until the tariffs come off?
We'll trade an old conservative for a younger one, could be worse. Now RBG really needs to hang in there.

This is going to be interesting. Stall until November? How will near Repubs vote? Flake. Corker, Collins, McCain? Margin is so dubious that anything could cause it to go to hell.

At standstill now, where are we going the rest of the year? Hate to think it, but would be hard to question Dems procrastinating thru election. Will be interesting to see comparative comments of those pointing out the fallacy of McConnell delay.

Can we get Trump to march on Atlanta? Different time - make that DC to reorganize government?

Kennedy was not a conservative. At least not as conservative as his replacement will be.

Gonna be hard to stall if Trump names a justice and the GOP wants to vote before thte midterms.

That’s my thought. Why in God’s name would Flake or Corker stall this vote? That would be cutting off their nose (GOP electorate) to spite their face (Trump).

Not likely that the Dems could block this one. I think Mitch would go nuclear to get it through before the mid terms. My guess is that we’ll have someone named before Kennedy even retires and hearings will start immediately during the Not August recess.

What's the over/under on when he names a potential replacement - 2 weeks?

Add to this that every D senator runnin in a red state will have pressure to support a conservative nominee....thinking WV, OH and ND off the top of my head.

I'll wait for the replacement to be announced and approved before I say "winning".

He already put his list out 18 months ago. He said any nominees would come from that list. I am pulling for Judge Judy.

They really have no reason not to. Flake and Corker are done. McCain ain't far behind. Just a thought. Flake had already thrown it out there about other federal judges.

I don’t see how a new justice appointment hurts the GOP for midterms

Strictly "thumb in eye". For that reason, McCain will not approve anyone regardless of his health.

I just want a judge who will uphold the Constitution. I don't want a liberal or a conservative. I want someone who looks at the Constitution as a Founding Father would.

"Through" out? WTF? Are you a ten year old?
I’m comfortable enough with my vocabulary, grammar, and punctuation that I can mess a word up every now and then and not really care though. Good catch, we all still think you’re criminally stupid.
